Abortion. Right or wrong?

My opinion is simple...If I had the tools I should have the choice.

Personally I don't agree with it as a means of birth control, rape and incest would be about the only way I would go along with it. When I look at my two boy's I cannot imagine them being destroyed.

But that is an opinion from a man. I figure a woman has a choice in what she does with her body, it is important for people to have control over thier bodies. I have however in my time on this planet found it ironical, that normally the liberals who oppose the death penalty are perfectly okay with destroying an innocent life.

There is my $.02

A woman has God-given free will to do with her body as she pleases. She can choose to do what is right or she can choose to do what is wrong.

Abortion, regardless of the circumstances, is wrong. But understand that by defining it as wrong does not stop the fact that a woman can still choose to do with her body (have an abortion) as she pleases.

There are many times in life when one moral priority will take precedence over another. For example a mother is diagnosed that she will die if an abortion is not performed. Here you would be ending life to save a life. As you see by this example a moral wrong took place in order to uphold a moral priority - protect the known existing life.

Well stated Grace...Very well put.:)

Personally I think that Abortion is wrong and if the subject were to be one effecting me in some way then I would be totally against it.Only reulctantly favouring it in cases of Rape/incest where having the baby would inflict years of hurt and trauma upon the mother

Having said that I also believe that others should also have the choice to make the decision for themselves,in the end though we all have to live with whatever choices we make in life. Those who make the choice of whether they have an abortion have to be respected for having the courage of their convictions and should not have to be labeled for making the choice that was right for them.

WHY is it always wrong, though? I'm just curious. Keep in mind, I'm only for abortion when it doesn't have active brainwaves.

Now this is going to turn religious, because you know damn well that's where her set of moral values comes from. Then you're gonna complain about how you don't know why people accuse you of always turning things into a religious debate. And I'm gonna point to this post and say "That's why".

Why do you make every god damn thread turn into religion? Christ. Keep your religious beliefs out of this. It's got nothing to do with religions...just abortions.

I do not support it.
Being human is about growth and sustenance, in the most biologic sense.
Once conception occurs, it's human.

She doesn't have to. You asked for her to defend her opinion. Her opinions are rooted in 'relationship with God'. She shouldn't have to defend it from a viewpoint she doesn't share.
Thanks Donnie. I did however swap out the word 'religion' with 'relationship with God' as I am not a fan of religion. Men screw everything up - me included. But you are right - I shouldn't have to defend my opinion from a viewpoint I don't share and I won't - that would be absurd.
