She wasn't commenting on her looks. She was making a statement that she wasn't raped because of the clothing she was wearing.

How is that not commenting on her looks?.That is what the sign expressed and the very reason she was holding the sign.

Your option and you are entitled to it. But you do need to show a little tact.
To me, she looks underage.

And I think you are misunderstanding what she is trying to do - namely that no matter how you look or how you dress you can become a victim of rape and that the "she was asking for it" mentality is wrong.
I cant tell how old she is...its hard to tell nowdays for sure..if you are right and she is underage her parents really should step in and not allow her to stand in public and announce she was raped
And I agree no woman asks for it...Almost all will agree with that..so why announce the obvious?

Oh hun, I really had to cringe when I read this... you are basically suggesting that she should be ashamed that she was raped and that she should hide it instead of trying to raise some public awareness. It is similar to saying a cancer patient should be ashamed and hide their sickness. Ingraining this type of mentality in people is a reason why so many rape victims don't report the crime.

It is not their fault that they have cancer, as it is not her fault that she got raped.

A child that was raped should not go around holding a sign regarding such.
No one suggested she should be ashamed as implied
How do you compare cancer with being raped..I fail to see the connection

Didnt you also suggest that rape victims are also repeat rape victims?
So wouldnt that increase her odds of being raped...by using your stats you provided?
How can you support this?

I posted a statistic that said this, while I tried to find the logical reason for the statistic.

This is a catch 22 - don't say something and risk being raped again (most likely by the same person), say something and report it and risk being raped again because she was flaunting it.
:wtf:

So report it then go hold a sign?
I could see how the reporting could help as it would aid in catching the attacker.
But holding a sign will help reduce her chance how???
Your stats stated a very high repeat rate..so wouldnt her sign being saying.."I am rape-able" therefore increasing her chances for another attack
People have been stating its not the clothes/ but the probability of the most success..that power thing that has been harped for pages on end.
