LOL! Yeah ... that's the thing about statistics ... there never is 100% accuracy.

I have heard of people who don't believe in abortion or pills no matter what. I wonder if they figure into these cases?

How many claimed raped that werent just so they could get an abortion that was otherwise illegal in that state ...something else to ponder.
Then there is those that do the "I was raped" to go to the women shelters for the free room and board.
The old man walks in while cheating.....sex now becomes rape.
I wish we had stats for bogus rapes...woman have came forward later and admitted they have made em up..I forget the name of the syndrome

This was from the UK rape crisis website and they get their information from various studies and the UK govenment website. It's also the figure that's usually quoted on news stories about false rape allegations.

But the figures should be taken with a pinch of salt. A lot of rape victims do not come forward, so will not be counted in the statistics, and just because a rape claim is "unfounded" does not mean that rape did not take place. A rape might be called unfounded if there isn't enough evidence for example or if the rapist and the victim had a prior sexual relationship.

It's surprising to me how many people in our society often think it's the victim's fault. Some people seem to have more anger at the victim than the victimizer.
