If Quran was a book of hate it wouldn't have more than a billion followers in every nook and corner of the world. Moreover, it is the most read Book in the world too.

Islam is a self protecting religion...you just cant "drop out"..in many areas that can mean death.
Everything is based off of Islam...so yeah you better read the book...know it..or can find your self up to your chest in dirt with rocks being thrown at your head.
Also in many Islamic nations..where Christians are tolerated..they pay huge taxes..have to live in designated areas and keep their mouth shut....or end up dead..So yeah it is mush easier to just be a muslim.
