I should've gotten dressed and headed to the gym after work this morning. Instead I'm sitting on my couch in my pajamas getting ready to head to bed. Oops.

I'd much rather work out as soon as I get up as opposed to just before bed, especially when I'm on nights. Then I just want to go home, eat a little something and go to sleep.

I woke up with a sore head, so my intentions of the gym were shot dead. Instead I rang my folks and we went a lush walk with the puppy. Its so sunny and warm out, better than the gym.

I have been a bum when it comes to the gym these past few days. I'm going to try to get up early the next few days and take a walk and then hit the gym later that night. I want to make my goal this month, dammit!!!

Lost 1.2lbs this week. Just kinda blew it with spaghetti and garlic bread but I'm getting into pilates while my foot is hurting. Maybe I can pilates off a little of those carbs lol.

I often joke about doing sit ups till I pass gas.. Today I actually did it during my second set.. I laughed so hard I nearly fell off the bench. :24:

I've beaten my goal too :D And lost the weight I gained at the weekend. Have lost 6.5lb in 2 weeks now. Bring on being skinny for summer :cheerleader:

I haven't weighed myself in a long time so I don't know if I've lost weight at all. I don't think I've lost any inches lately...my jeans are still a bit snug. :ninja

Got bad news this morning. My gym is closing for 5 months for a refurb. At the moment my gym is around 10 mins walk, I joined cos it's so close and since it's on the way into town, if I was going to town for something I could go gym or swim on my way.

They have offered me one of two options.

Freeze my membership from the end of April until it repoens in September

or

Unlimited use of the Airport hotel gym at 50% of my current cost (so I would be paying £20 for a 5 star hotel gym) and use of the other gyms up to 4 times per month.

My issue is if I freeze, I wont have a gym or pool to go to at all but the airport hotel is like 20 mins in the car away (if I go in the evening it's more like 40 cos that area is NIGHTMAREish at rush hour). Dammit. The reason I dont join far away gyms is cos I dont go! Plus, I think I might have to pay for the parking which sucks balls.

That sucks, Laurie!!! Can you get them to throw in the parking fees as well??? Might make it worth it.

I just phoned them, the parking is free for members. I noticed a barrier to the car park when I walk to the current gym but because I never bring my car, I never had a reason to ask if I needed to pay. I obsess a little bit over stuff like this so I just phoned to check! So I won't end up paying any more than I pay now, since they are reducing my membership, the petrol wont add to £20 a month.

Now the question is are you going to get spoiled by the fancy gym and be disappointed to go back to your regular gym??? LOL

Nah cos my current gym is 5 star too and is undergoing a refurb to make it bigger and better. And loads more member benefits too.
