The scale sucks.. You can get caught up in the numbers. I get on the scale maybe once every other week. I make sure it's first thing in the morning
after at least 7 hours of sleep, preferably after I take a crap, and a good long morning piss. That way I am just measuring myself and not bladder, bowel and or stomach content.

Using weights and a good bodyshaping program www.bodybuilding.com (High Repetition) is probably the best kept secret to losing weight. I have heard so many women say "I dont want to lift weights
because I'll gain too much muscle" I am thinking.... Lady If you knew how hard it was to actually make muscle gains, you'd never make a statement like that.

The truth is high repetition weight training will turn you into a fat burning furnace long before any muscle shows up and when it does it will show up more as definition (sexy lines-
and curves) than anything else. Simply take any beginners weight training routine, and shoot for13-15 reps with each movement. Be sure you train to failure meaning you physically
cant do more than 15... if you can, get a heavier weight.

Training to failure is critical because it forces the fibers to respond... however if your new, HOLD off on the failure training until you have done a few cycles. (overtraining sux)

Most people who diet, and watch the scale are only getting half the results they deserve. Eventually they quit..... feeling worse about themselves, than they would have if they never started.

I know I'm still fat- my measurements and clothes tell me so. The scale, eh we've had a 2 year relationship, seen 100lbs subtract. I wouldn't even realize I'd lost that much if it were about how I look lol...I only dropped 3 dress sizes and lost only 6 inches on my waist in 100lbs of loss. Go figure.

I've always done weights, never have been confused about women and weight lifting.

My problem is diet, it truly is. I only lose weight when I have my diet in complete check.
Hopefully this <1500 calorie diet as tracked by a phone app will help better than me knowingly adding hundreds of calories to every meal like I had been.

I'm terrified of being hungry, you know, the dieting community overblows the threshold of starvation mode, and as an obese person I surely was not a fan of hunger. I also have fainting episodes in my past, driven by hunger.

Making sure I'm never hungry has been the cause of my plateau since November, though, so it's a balance.

When I am dieting, I am scared of being hungry and 'not being allowed to eat' because I have had my allowance for the day. I think it's a habitual thing. I aim to change that and shrink my stomach on this new diet. I am starting it tonight and by the looks of it, I won't go hungry.

That's been it for me, too, the feeling of knowing I've had my 1500 and wanting nothing more than to go in the kitchen and tear into something. It feels so empty lol.

I will say that the clothes sizes drop a lot slower when you're in plus size clothes. While someone in a size 12 or 10 may only need to lose 5 or 10 pounds to go down a size, often in plus size clothing it's more like 20 or 30 pounds. I've lost 95 pounds and dropped 4 sizes.

It's true, I see people say they lost 40 lbs and dropped 10 sizes I'm like WTF??? haha

Well today is the second anniversary of my "life change" woot :p
Doesn't really feel like it's been that long, surprisingly. I remember the last thing I did before I decided to change things was go to McDonald's for my mother and buying myself a quarter pounder, an apple pie and like a McDouble or something thinking I was "cutting back" :24: needless to say I've come a long way.

Only had McDonalds twice in those two years, both breakfasts while I was out of state for a funeral.

Seems like you are way ahead of the majority. It's painful at times and we have our little cheat days... (in my case cheat weekends) but it's still a lifestyle, and not a fad diet program that brings, and maintains success.
It just kills me how the diet/fitness industry drags people through the mud for a quick buck.

I gotta admit... I too have me a cheeseburger from "Mickey Dees" once in a while. Don't tell anyone ok? Hope your foot feels better.

Yep the diet/fitness industry, mainstream at least, is insane. Conflicting tips, bad science, bad advice about quick fixes all over. No wonder people are struggling.

Thanks, I'm hurting today, definitely need to stay off my foot for a while.

Missed a workout yesterday... Had a long day and was late coming back from Boston.. Traffic sucked and it's a 5 hr drive even without. Plus the reciever that
checked in my product was a hot assed middle aged brunnette... Her New England accent owned me.. I dunno why that is but I think I am just putty to a lady
with an accent.. lols

Anyway I came home with nookie on my mind, and took it out on the wife, and not the weights. Of course I told her I was thinking of HER all day.. (I am such a bastid)

At any rate... feeling refreshed, and in a pretty good mood :p I am gonna tear up those weights today!!!

Did my sit up bench! Now I am gonna hit the weights, take a shower, and ride my motorcycle till my ass goes numb.

If it's as nice out today, as they say it will be that is.. (I don't trust the weather people these days)

I suspect I have peroneal tendonitis :( no more foot based exercises for me, time for weights and crunches
It's excruciating, and I haven't been able to stay off much because...oh idk...life still needs me to do shit :p
Been icing it, but I lost 4.2lbs this week so I'm happy overall. Just have to eat a bit less!
