So you want people to openly carry their concealed weapons? Kinda defeats the purpose.
So much for me being on ignore ;)

But back to topic...you are missing the point of restricting conceal and carry.
It changes how the two react with each other..if one is known to have a fire arm..its rather obvious.
The guy with a concealed firearm..can be more cocky
If a guy knows the other guy is packing he is more apt to avoid an altercation.

Red rep the post as usual if you are unable to form a legitimate rebuttal to my post

Oops. Pardon me then. Undeniable proof of premeditated murder. I don't know why they're bothering with an investigation or trial. I'm surprised they haven't injected him already.

You were implying that the racial shitstorm this has created was somehow fabricated. Someone calling a black man a coon minutes before shooting him to death tends to stir up some people emotions about racial sensitivity. Do you really find that surprising?

This is the first I have heard of Zimmerman calling Martin a racial slur...am not saying it didnt happen..but when did he say it...are we sure about this or is it some of the hype floating around

Re: YOUR Treyvon Martin theory - what exactly happened?

A good point. I bet the "Stand Your Ground" law is going to have some serious second thoughts.

Except really that law has absolutely no bearing on this case whatsoever. All it says is that in order for someone to use deadly force in self-defense, they do not have to attempt to flee first, as WAS the case before the law was passed. In this case, none of the scenarios presented offer any account of anyone fleeing, so it's a completely irrelevant. The only issue would be whether or not GZ acted in self-defense. Flight was never a part of this.

I thought it was this specific law that allowed Zimmerman to not have charges brought on him?

Or do you mean, you think that this law didn't really apply in this case? Which I could see that ... everything seems to be about home intrusion in that law ... although I'm sure it probably delves deeper than I have seen thus far.

I never said I was going to put you on ignore, but once again you prove your complete inability to understand anything that is said. So is your argument that everyone should open carry? How would you modify concealed carry laws in order to make it obvious that people are carrying a concealed weapon?

It's on the 911 call. He mentions something about "these assholes always get away." Then some believe he was heard saying "fucking coons" in a low voice. What his exact words were there are in dispute. His attorney claims he said "punks." So is it concrete? No. Is it a fabrication? No. Is it yet one more thing that muddies the already murky waters of this case? Absolutely.

My only personal input on this is that having lived in Northern Florida (and in other Southern states) I have heard that word commonly used as a racial slur many, many times. IMO it's second only to the infamous "N" word in it's prevelence. Doesn't mean GZ said it. But for me, it does make it more plausible. The first time I heard the 9-1-1 call, I heard it immediately and thought "did he just say that?" It wasn't until a day or so later that I saw a news report pointing it out and bringing up the topic of what he may have said there. So I don't believe I was influenced by the media. I can certainly see why others heard it and thought the same thing.

I only brought this point out because of a post that claimed race only became a factor because of the color of the victims skin. I think race became a factor with the possibility that the shooter may have made racially-charged comments, coupled with the fact that he was never arrested.

No. There is no law that prevents GZ from having charges brought against him. My understanding is that his attorney is claiming that he intends to attempt to use "Stand Your Ground" as a defense if the case were to come to trial.

I believe there was some confusion early on because a statement was given by the Sanford PD erroneously saying they were prohibited from charging him. But that person has since resigned after such a huge blunder was discovered.

Oh ...

Holy crap! How is it he was able to walk then?

Well that's really the million-dollar question, isn't it?

Despite the cry that many of us want GZ lynched or thrown in prison for life immediately, all MANY of the public interested in this case want is for there to actually be a trial. The system should be allowed to work, evidence should be presented, facts sorted out, and a jury allowed to decide. But none of that CAN happen unless GZ is arrested first.

No big deal..wouldnt be the same without our interactions.

Incorrect,,I have not stated such

Wow..have you read the post....they would no longer be concealed if they are in the open.

Wow ... see, I thought that he was taken into custody and that the DA decided that they couldn't press any charges because of the whole "Hold Your Ground" law because they were thinking Zimmerman was using self defense.

So you want people to open carry instead of conceal carry? Jesus Christ, that's what I was just asking with the previous question. In my question, "everyone" referred to the people that currently conceal carry. You're not very bright, are you?

I remember the "these assholes get away"..but dont recall any racial slurs
Hopefully it will come out later after they clean up the recording and amp it up

He was taken into custody which I believe is SOP whenever one person dies in the presence of another. He was never placed under arrest and no charges were filed. As far as I know, there has never been an official announcement of why the decision was made not to charge him, though I have seen plenty of speculation from the media and several quotes from "unnamed" sources.

what is this, the 4th trayvon shooting thread?

anyways, due to Zimmerman's injuries, which were confirmed by both police and medics, I'd say a struggle went down and Zimmerman shot him in fear of his bodily well being

What about before that? From the 9-1-1 call until the shot was fired?

No, I said that I would,
What stopped you?
but that you amuse me so I'm not going to bother.
You seem to be easily amused...lol..I suspect you jerk off while giving red rep....be honest
Don't put words in my mouth and don't call me a fucking liar.
The forum is well aware of your credibility..I dont have to say anything.
So you want people to open carry instead of conceal carry?
In certain situations..such as neighborhood watch..security guards etc.
Jesus Christ, that's what I was just asking with the previous question.
Your question was poorly structured thus the given response.

In my question, "everyone" referred to the people that currently conceal carry.
Incorrect again...learn to use proper sentence structure.
You're not very bright, are you?
You wish....I dont give a shit about you roughshod debate style with red reps as an effort to prevent a response from an opponent..,,I suspect you gain an odd sexual pleasure while giving red reps
Its obvious that you have issues and are not happy with your given character in public.

I highly suspect you have been humiliated several times in your life dating back to high school debate....the guy that got his books slapped out of his hands after school and cried home to mommy then went to his room and cried .

I also suspect you have also had trouble adapting to your geographical location as you cant pull off the big city boy image...and get rather upset when people mock you while standing inline as you seem out of place.

Man it sure does suck to be you doesnt it retro
