My main point is, I think its hypocritical that a law giving/governing body will kill someone....because they killed someone. The old saying is quite true: Two wrongs makes nothing right.

What about the old saying "an eye for an eye"?

I am, but the system/Constitution is not and I'm alright with that.

So....you get some sort of sick pleasure knowing someone is suffering? Also the fact that while we are supposed to obey the law and not kill anyone the government can legally? Pretty strange huh?

Now you're attacking my personal morals, and I take offense to that. I simply believe that if you feel the need to pour gasoline on somebody and light them on fire, then that's how we will execute you after the due process of the law has been carried out.

You cant demand that of humanity. People kill people. Its up to people who know what they're doing to solve the problem without procuring more violence.

If you can tell me how to stop all murders and rapes, then there will be no need for the death penalty and I would no longer support it.

I'm not attacking anything. I'm just pointing out what you think, by what you have said to me. If I wanted to attack you I would.

You still don't understand that killing someone because they killed someone is extremely hypocritical and shows the ignorance of the people administering it by not coming up with a better punishment. Killing will only lead to more killing, which will lead to desensitized feelings of violence in people. Why is killing someone OK just because the state or federal government condones it? What is the difference but the number of people that calculate the death?

Seeing as how that is impossible, we need to strike at the root of the societal problem which causes it before it is carried out.

Commiting murder is a personal choice. It has nothing to do with how you were raised. Everybody knows murder is a capital offense, when you do it, that's a chance you take.

Because the state or federal government condones it. Obviously, the majority of Americans agree or anti-death penalty politicians would be elected.

So killing is ok if a lot of people agree on it.

So every genocide that has ever taken place was A.O.K by your logic. I mean, a lot of people agreed and they thought they deserved it!

How many people agreed with Hitler, Milosevic, and Saddam? Agreed with, not were forced into helping.
