Who says the only alternative to capitalism is communism? Also, how do you define "successful?" Material gain?

Communism is an inherrently flawed lifestyle method, and will inevitably fail long-term due simply to human desire.

It's not in our nature to want to share or play/be fair with everyone around us. We want more for oursevles.We want to be rewarded and noticed individually for our hard work, and we want to be able to accumulate personal property at a rate which pleases us on an individual level. Sure, you can FAKE Communism, as the USSR arguably did for decades, but it cannot be sustained indefinitely.

3 hots and a Cot, not a bad deal if you can tolerate the environment, That is the biggest problem right there, That is the opinion of Prison life for most people these days.

The one's out there, comitting the crimes, They are NOT afraid of getting caught and going to Jail, If you want to rehabilitate people, First you need to give them a reason to NOT want to go to jail, And todays punishment fails to do that. Add It Up,

I am a Single Mother, I work 2 jobs to pay my bills, To Enjoy the Same Luxerys as most prisoners, Radio, Cable t.v. A/C, Internet,

I pay For all Of these,
Prisoners Get them Free ( I pay that too in my taxes )

But I also Pay for

The Food I eat,
The Electricity I use
Heat, Water

Prisoners Get these Free, ( necissity's unavoidable )

I dont Have,
Health Insurance, ( I pay to go to a Dr. )

Prisoners Get better Health care, Then I can Afford Even If I DID have health insurance, Which I would have to pay for.

How Sad, They dont have their freedom, and they have to sleep in cells that they share with other inmates, ..

NO, whats Sad, Is they may have given up thier Freedom, but they live better then Most of Society, In The Governments ever endearing need to make sure we dont deny them their Humanity?

They are not being Punished, They are being given a free ride on the Government. And really, I dont know how, I dont pretend to know how, But it does need to Change.

Prisons are becoming overcrowded, because, really, we have nothing better to do with them then throw them in Jail, And too many people in society dont care if that happens to them.

I never said anything about endorsing communism....and actually the biggest reason why communism fell was because of America's foreign policy, not communism itself.

Also, there are plenty of anarcho/communist communes in Europe that are functioning fine and have been for decades so its not impossible for people to live like that. The communes that were shut down or fell apart were due to external reasons, not internal ones.


No, actually if you look back into history many civilizations and cultures had commune like societies and they functioned fine until foreign armies destroyed them. They would have been sustained for as long as they wanted if others didn't come and intentionally destroy them.

Do you honestly think their lives are better than a free persons? You don't really have to worry about being sodomized/stabbed/raped/beaten/killed everyday do you? Do you stay in a small cell for the majority of the day? Or do you go outside and do what you want? Life isn't better in the prison system, in fact its deplorable.


Our jails are overcrowded because there are stupid drug laws we have now that send most of them there.

Sure, there's been lots of commune like societies. But name me one that has even been as large and/or powerful as the foreign armies that destroyed them. I think you'd be hard pressed to find one. Societies like the ones you're talking about work better with fewer people in them.

My uncle spent quite some time ( at least 20 years) in and out of jails, mainly because of those so-called stupid drug laws. And he knew that at the end of the day, he would have his three meals, air condidtioning, bed, and TV, unlike when he was free.

When you utilize groups and organizations to affect other nations, it IS foreign policy. Its just not overt. Several factual books have been written on the US's CIA operations.


The point of having a commune is to live outside of the normal, wage slave societies in peace. They don't want violence, that is why they do not have standing armies. They do not want to force their policies on other people, unlike the US. They would be much more effective if outside nations we're so corrupt and power hungry, but thats the nature of industrialized nations, they are expansionists.

Most forms of governments are corrupt. No denying that. I don't have an answer on what specific for of government I would prefer, but it would be a mixed one. Like an anarcho-democracy. Which do exist.

No, drug laws like the fact that pot is illegal....its so retarded to keep pot illegal. Most of the world has made it legal and no one is hurt from it. Its sort of hard to obey the law when your own government breaks it most of the time.
