But it's illegal and, unless someone decides to change that law, you're still going to jail. In what ways does the government break the laws?
Shouldn't have asked him that...gonna be a long reply

How about the law that states the all drives must turn on their headlights when it starts raining? I'm pretty sure there's no need to break that one.
Do you honestly think their lives are better than a free persons? You don't really have to worry about being sodomized/stabbed/raped/beaten/killed everyday do you? Do you stay in a small cell for the majority of the day? Or do you go outside and do what you want? Life isn't better in the prison system, in fact its deplorable.
Our jails are overcrowded because there are stupid drug laws we have now that send most of them there.
Most drug laws that the United States have are subject to persecution even if you are outside of its borders, making them subtlety international. But we were talking about drug laws, not international law.
I did NOT say, They are not free, Or that thier Lives Were Better.
and If Bad things happen to them why they are in Jail.. you Know what, my feelings are not hurt at all. They dont like it, then they should have not broken the law.
Murderers and rapists and Yada, Yada, Why Should we care if they suffer, Thier Victims Suffered, Why should we care when they didnt, Why Should They have a nice comfy life when they are supposed to be being Punished.
and a Side note, I do not agree that soft criminals are jailed with Harder criminals, I do think there should be seperate arrangements. Not because I feel sorry for them, They still broke the law, But a soft criminal Almost always comes out harder and more dangerous to society then when he went in.
So if someone suffers at the hands of someone, we should make them suffer in return instead of doing justice? What are you accomplishing besides a twisted satisfaction of them suffering? Trust me, their lives aren't comfy at all. Basic needs do not equal comfort.
So where is your evidence that soft criminals become stone hard criminals when they get out? I know people that have gone to jail and they aren't that way? :confused

YES! Tha'ts the justice! Man, we are never gonna agree on this thread, but come on! How do they NOT deserve to suffer?
Making someone intentionally suffer is unacceptable in a democracy, no matter what they did. Go to the middle east if you want that kind of inhumane "justice".
They don't deserve to suffer because making them suffer will only continue the circle of violence and perpetuate it.
Been there, done that. I'll take democracy any day.
