Frankly this points to the whole 'self -defense' charade as being a crock of shit.

She was on the phone with the troubled young man when the event took place...thus a witness..direct conversation with the deceased.
If you dont want to call her a witness...then the people that heard the fight are not witnesses either...nor the dispatch operator with your logic.

Martin was just “one slam of Zimmerman’s head into the sidewalk ” away from being an
“armed teenager” versus being unarmed as the press like to portray him, IMHO.

Indeed the dishonesty was terrible.
"White guy lays and wait for young black boy on the way back from buying skittles and executes him....Police do not arrest him because the kid was black"...the is what they led the public to believe...complete with pictures of him when he was a child.

Obviously.....which is why paramedics tend to err on the side of caution when treating head injuries. The fact that they released Zimmerman without hospitalising him for observation confirms that he only that he only suffered minor abrasions and "smashing his head into the sidewalk" rhetoric is baseless.

Zimmerman "failed to identify himself" as a concerned citizen or neighborhood watch member on two occasions that night. Serino reports that he thought Zimmerman's head injuries were "marginally consistent with a life-threatening episode, as described by him, during which neither a deadly weapon nor deadly force were deployed by Trayvon Martin."

Then what was martin trying to accomplish by banging his head on the sidewalk?
And to comment on the part you bolded...hands can be a deadly weapon...a simple example is chocking..neck breaking..slamming ones head into the sidewalk.
Also in reference to your "deadly force"..that means Zimmerman wouldn't have been allowed to defend himself until he was already dead.

You are correct Kakapo Dundee, I apologise I posted the wrong link. This is the one I meant to post, and this quote is what I based my opinion on.

42 seconds is a while..its obvious martin wasnt going to stop after indication that Zimmerman wanted no more beating{head mashing} from the young man.

How much longer the young violent man would have kept going is any ones guess...One thing for sure had Zimmerman lost consciousness he would have not been able to use his neck muscles to lesson the blows to the concrete...the news would have been much different then.
