I have about one whole month off of school, and I really hope to dedicate my free time to getting these last pounds off. My goal is to work out most days of the week that month. There really is no excuse not to...I manage to exercise when I'm working basically 80 hours per week, I can do it at 40 :p

Although I stopped posting in the November exercise thread I was still keeping up =) My target was 900 and I managed to do roughly 1500!

This was mainly because I would get up and go for a run with the dog first thing in the morning, but because my fiance is off work we would usually go out for a walk with the dog in the afternoon as well. So as there were a lot of days where I didn't do anything because we were out for the whole day or something, going twice a day when I had the time more than made up for it =)

I know my fitness levels are increasing and totally changing my eating habbits around just feels great. I'm just carrying on trying to get healthier, stronger and tonned! When I put on weight throughout this year the clothes were starting to get tighter so it's nice putting t-shirts on and feeling them starting to get looser on me. I actually have a very cute little black dress hanging up that I've never worn. I'd love to be able to wear it for my birthday in April! Love having targets!!

Well, I get what I assume are shin splints when I run b/c I still have not learned how to run properly, LOL But that's about it. I'm sore as hell from all those lateral squats and core resistance exercises yesterday, though...does that count???

I'm sitting here incredibly sore, but luckily not injured. I do worry about that because I often feel like uncontrolled meat in motion when I work out :24:

:s hope you heal quickly, Zirc

My back has always been a bit wonky. It will decide to be injured at the most random and inopportune times. :rolleyes I did something to it in April just picking manure and then I could hardly move for a few days and it took a couple of weeks before I felt good enough to work out. This time wasn't so bad. I'll probably go work out tomorrow again. :)

if anyone is interested in home workouts that will kick your ass...

http://www.bodyrock.tv/

I did my first one today. I feel exhausted, but awesome. They even give you tips on how to modify it if you're a beginner or are struggling with something. They say you need a home interval timer, but because I have a laptop, I found a counter online and used that to time my intervals. It's intense, but it feels really good. It's great for someone like me who has all this free time in the afternoon, but no means of transportation. Just figured I'd share. :)

Oh man, I've fallen off the exercise wagon badly. After my trip for the funeral everything got out of whack. I worried I gained at least 5lbs but I lost 2. I've stuck to a really good menu, decreased the amount of times during the week I overeat and that seems to help.

Breakfast: 1/2 cup oatmeal, flavorless protein powder, blueberries, and cinnamon

Snack: home made hummus and carrots

Lunch: salad and feta cheese with no dressing, chicken, broccoli and quinoa or barley fried "rice" (amazing)

Snack: two hard boiled eggs with mustard and horse radish

Dinner: Chicken, broccoli, and the fried rice again

Snack: Fiber one cereal with a few chocolate chips and soy milk

Now to get some workouts going again! Argh! Not looking forward to that :s I get so sore.

Yeah, I've been slacking, too. I did a lot of walking and now-shoeing and stuff while I was on vacation, but since I got back all I've done is go to DanceFit Class twice. :(

I'm starting tonight, that's all there is to it. I'm going to start slow, since my days are so long...I vow to do 30 mins cardio (minimum) tonight, before supper.

So I didn't get to the gym last night for my 30 mins because I got on the phone and ended up talking for an hour and that put the screws to my evening.

It's unreal how we're a slave to our habits...I wasn't even hungry, but I figured I had to eat, so I went to the dining room at 7:45 and all that was left was spaghetti and sauce so I had a plate of that. It was gross, but I ate most of it and then went to bed, disgusted with myself.

BUT....this morning, I was determined, I wasn't going to talk myself out of it again...I got my ever-expanding ass out of bed at 3:10 a.m. and went for 30 mins on the treadmill, alternating between a brisk walk and a med. paced jog. I know it's not much, but it's a start. :)

It's tough. I'm so bad at stopping myself from over eating when I get home. I promise myself, I swear up and down, I try to get pumped up about following my plan and then I find myself eating tuna noodle casserole and nutella on bread like a dumbass.

I worked out for about 20 minutes last night, out of guilt :p fack.

Re: March Exercise Challenge

2 - 30 mins walking

Does anyone count unintentional exercise? For example: I'm on the 3rd floor of camp and there's no elevator, I have to take the stairs. I go up and down them 6 - 8 times a day, and I do try to run them or take 2 at a time to make it a bit of a challenge, that count? LOL

I count that. ;)
