Anti-Gay Concentration Camps

I'd bet your wrong on that point. I don't think there are as many small minded people here that you think there are.

I could name you at least a dozen without even batting an eye and you know it. You can deny it all you want but there is still a great percentage of the population in N.A. that are not very open to the " gay " thing. Don't believe me.... do an anonymous poll within your own tight circle of friends, co-workers and family. You'll find out soon enough.

It's funny that you used the word 'accept' what exactly are you accepting? The fact that people are allowed to live their life as they see fit?

And you have made it perfectly clear where you stand on homosexuality. I just find it funny that you feel that it concerns you at all.

Really Tim... do tell me exactly where I stand.

It isn't funny at all nor does it really concern me. When it does actually concern me you'll be the first one I tell ok. It's also not a conversation you and I will take part in unless it's face to face.

and you'd come to realize that all of their explanations would be utterly retarded and ridiculous

I would find it incredible that this site could beat the odds;)

I've come to the conclusion that actions speak louder than words (although words can be used to motivate people to accomplish an action). Internet forums are full of words.

As I've mentioned before, Doc just said what he thought, and he got crucified for it. By the same token, Doc being a soldier, also mentioned he would follow his orders even if he didn't agree with them, which is another reason he got crucified. Although I'm at my point in my life where I may not agree with Doc's views on homosexuals (although ultimately when I run the scenarios in my mind, I don't think open gays should serve) I can completely understand his view point and see where he is coming from.

Are you fucking kidding me?
:confused No.

There are lots of levels of acceptance.
As far as "accepting" homosexual behavior, what's acceptable?

  • Holding hands in public?
  • looking lovingly into each other's eyes at a romantic restaurant?
  • A little smooch in the park?
  • Cohabiting?
  • Walking down the street with one's hand in the other's back pocket? Front pocket?
  • Cuddling in a horse-drawn carriage?
  • Playing tongue tonsil tennis at a bus stop?
  • regaling the coworkers with the previous night's sexual adventures?
  • Coming to a family reunion as a couple?
  • Being a dinner guest with the family?
  • Sleeping over?
  • Having sex in the guest room?
  • Having loud sex in the guest room?
  • Having sex in other parts of the house, such as the kitchen table?
  • Swimming naked in the pool or hot tub as a couple?
  • Regaling the family with the previous night's sexual adventures over breakfast?
When you say " I'd be willing to bet there's a shitload of people on this site that don't accept their behavior but don't have the guts to say so," what level of acceptance are you referring to?

That whole list applies to hetro sexuals too. It's when you don't have a problem with hetro sexual people doing some of those things but have a problem with gay people doing them that there's a homophobic problem.

I made the offer to Tim and I'll make the same one to you.....We can discuss it face to face if you want. It's the only way I could ensure ya'll have the wax out of your ears so you can hear everything I would have to say. When can I expect to pick you up at the airport?

I like your style, even if you are Canadian:D

I would suggest however that you at least split the air fare.

I'm a little perplexed at your comment.

I'd like to think that both you and I realize that the written word can be misconstrued at times when trying to convey your intent over the internet.

Have to laugh, the last couple of weeks I've jokingly been calling my son "cityboy" because he doesn't want to get dirty outside working, and then it hit me:24:

Misconstrued? A face to face invite over the internet to discuss a heated, emotional topic most often means a challenge to a fist fight that the challenging party knows will never happen. That's what it looks like to me.

You think he wants to go to dinner and box tonsils with Tim or what?

Thank you. Exactly my point.

I don't see any reason for you to be so defensive. I'm pretty sure we agree on this, for the most part. I tossed you a softball (which Pete knocked out of the park), but you're so suspicious of a trap you try a dodge instead of simply posting an honest response. Why should you care if Tim or I (polar opposites on many matters, btw) understand or even agree with you? State your case or not; no need for the posturing.

Funny, honestly, a "fist fight" never crossed my mind.

For a man to have a strong enough conviction to take the time and money and exchange ideas with someone honestly impresses me (not that impressing me matters to anyone on this forum LOL).

Both men in question give me the impression that they are at least past 40 years of age and are self sufficient (Guyzerr and Tim). I would like to think that any man past 30 years of age who has achieved some success in his life has come to the realization that physical violence in their personal lives will accomplish nothing, and if anything taking a course of physical violence may have a negative impact on their lives (hospital bills and court costs / time are the first outcomes that come to mind).

25 or 30 years ago it might have meant what you're thinking but I'm much too old for that shit today even though I'm still very capable of looking after myself. I'm just getting sick and tired of hearing people tell me how I think and I would like to set the record straight which is something I haven't been able to do on this forum. Why you axe? Because some of these bimbo's twist my fucking words to hear only what they want to hear. You're probably wondering how exactly I might go about making my point. Well that's an easy one to answer. Sometimes you just gotta treat kids like kids and sit 'em on your knee with a very firm grip, stare 'em straight in the eye and tell 'em the way it is. Then you close it off by asking if I've made myself clear and if they understand every fucking word that just came out of my mouth.

Um....... really! I guess you forgot all about the last thread on this topic where I was thrown to the lions.

Peter didn't knock anything out of the ballpark. He stated his opinion without asking if I agree with what he said. I take that as well as your comment on the statement to mean that you assume I may or may not agree with his statement either. As far as me considering it to be a trap... you're fucking right I do.

State your case or not; no need for the posturing.

I'm not posturing at all. I'm fucking serious when I asked what time I could expect to pick you up at the airport. In case you missed it.... WHAT FUCKING TIME CAN I EXPECT TO PICK YOU UP AT THE AIRPORT? "

You're right on a couple of points as far as me is concerned....
- I'm well past 40. *** just 2 more years and I get to apply for my pension :D ***
- I'm a survivor of many challenges both physical and mental and shouldn't be walking this planet. Some I beat by luck ,some by skill and some by sheer determination.
- Physical violence has stopped quite a few battles in my life but it hasn't solved even one. My last battle was the night of my stag 30 years ago. :thumbup
- Physical violence has caused pain to my pocketbook but it was worth every penny to be able to come to my mothers defense and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
- The hospital costs to set some bones or stitch a few wounds were covered by our fantastic health care system but they still hurt like hell after the dust settles.
- Arthritus takes hold in the areas where you've broken bones when you get older. Did ya know that? Here's a word of advice... make love not war.:24:
