Why would I care who makes a person horny unless I was interested in being one of those people? It's not relevant whether someone is gay or straight unless you are interested in sex with that person. Since it's not relevant, insisting on knowing anyway is just to satisfy curiosity, and maybe get points with the gossip crowd.

If any of my kids or kids friends had no place to turn to I want them to know they can talk to me and tell me they are gay.
If a co-worker or friend has no place to turn to and feel like suicide is the only option, I want them to know they can talk to me and tell me and that they need help..

Your statement comes with the feeling that you deal with people differently depending on sexual preference. So when you buy something, you want to know if the cashier is gay or straight so you can deal with them differently???

Fair enough I will take it I didn't express in the best way I could have..
To me it is really irrelevant.. What I was trying to say is I rather someone be honest with me than afraid to tell me they are gay..
I deal with everyone the same way. Why would it matter if someone is gay, brown, black or even from another planet as long as they are respectful.. That applies for religions as well.
No I don't ask people what they are and couldn't care less. When was the last time any of you walked up to someone and asked "are you gay, straight, married or Jewish" at a grocery store or anywhere else ?
I have taught my kids, to look at people the same way, and always respect others but the reality is that you will run into different people everywhere..

I thank Tim for stepping in because I'm not sure you & I would have gotten on the same page without him. I see now that you & I agree. One of my very best friends - nah, she is the best now - has confided in only me out of all of our coworkers that she is gay. I didn't/don't see what the big deal was, but clearly it is a very big deal to her, and so I treat it with that much value and respect.
I think it's such a shame, in this day and age that gay people still have to worry about people knowing about their sexuallity because of the reaction they might get.
Right. My high school students don't have those hangups. It's just another dimension of dating.
Maybe until they die, or they stop being gay. being gay is a behavior, just like stealing, doing drugs, being disrespectful to authority etc.. They will continue to live if they dont play buttpirates with another guy ever again. Its my oppinion. I dont like them. Would i personally go out and beat the gay out of them? would i pay money or offer my own time to support this? No. But if it happened i wouldent give a shit. They can easily control their behavior. Sure it is. Its obvious someone close to them doesnt like them being Gay so they paid the people to go beat them up. They are juviniles...correct? Their parents control them. Parents decision. If their homo behavior isnt fixed then they can just move out when they are 18 and play all the butt pirates they want.
