Coming from the guy who has an air rifle with a laser attached to it.

Sorry, but want to talk about fucking GAY:24:

. I laugh when people try to insult me by calling me gay, I couldn't give a shit what people think my sexuality is. The fact that they think the're insulting by calling someone gay speaks far more about them and their prejudices.

Enlist, and when you come out tell me what you think.
Why would I want to enlist into a military fighting useless wars right now?

I'll be willing to enlist when there is an actual threat to the US.

But anyways, you're avoiding the subject. Rounding up gays and corralling them into camps is a breach of the oath you swore.

This should be good... exactly what is the mission of the military?
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Doc feels empathy to those in his group but not to those outside it. This is a natural tendency but it is also the cause of much suffering. It is why Christians and Muslims kill each other. It is the cause of war. It promotes hatred and oppression. We as a species must try to rise above this natural tendency. War is becoming too destructive. If we do not learn to feel empathy for outsiders then our species may not survive. Fortunately there is hope. Many have expanded their empathy horizon.

Yeah, we have far less deaths by guns than you do, care to tell me how someones homosexuality has caused thousands of deaths?

At best, we have deaths with weapons because people don't train with them and don't know how to use them.

Personally, I have no qualms with the only way to own a firearm is by showing them your DD214's. Any idiot who hasn't broken the law shouldn't be able to own a firearm IMO, and that goes for air rifles as well:D

I echo AEF, he is correct. What, you think military is some little boy's club where underachievers go to hit each other with soap??? :24:

It's a fucking disgrace to people who serve with integrity.

And what was your MOS that you served with such integrity?

I think when you're in the military, you do as you're ordered.

Personally, when I enlisted, I happened to think that this was the greatest country in the world, and it was a part of my duty to defend it.

Yeah, we got orders all the time to lock the gays up. Usually it was some fucking jar heads at the EM club who thought they were hot shit:24:

Yes, you do as you are ordered 99% of the time. Except when there are orders that are issued that breach law and oath.

it is your duty to defend it, and uphold the constitution as I have already pointed out

So dont give them to people who dont know how to use them then! Jesus! It's hardly rocket science!

Now, how do gays cause thousands of deaths by their sexuality, again? You seemed to forget that part when replying.

Personally, too many idiots owning guns.

Have no problem with mandatory testing and training to own firearms.

Yeah, I know, that makes me anti gun.
Actually the death/injury rate in the US is incredibly low once you consider the fact that there are about 90 guns for every 100 citizens.

Give me 3 examples of orders that were given in any military branch that breach law and oath in the last 5 years.

Here is a hint. Usually BEFORE the orders are given, people will know whose ass is in a sling.

The military is far from perfect, but when you're a young man in the military, yours is not to question why...

Weak argument. I wouldn't claim to know what the military is like emotionally, but the mission is out there for the public to know, as it's...well FOR the public, so that is completely irrelevant.

You can't pick and choose which citizens are worth defending, is all anyone is saying, even through religious fundamentalism and homophobia.
