read my post in true context, confused Man!

My reference to Taliban was and is in reference to their democratic rights...Personally I don't like them but democratically viewing they have the right to form their own govt in a democratic way!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the taliban kill you if you didn't lead your life they way THEY think you should lead your life?

Well then, I definately don't want them governing me!

In all seriousness, which God or Allah gave men the right to kill others if they don't live by God's or Allah's words? (they do rule by religious beliefs don't they?)

Allah hasn't given anybody any right to kill anyone. But the problem with Taliban is that they have their own interpretation of canonical laws which are almost same as Saudia. These canonical laws are enforced in Saudia and UAE by King's or Sultan's decree. Even if you lived in those countries and violated their laws they would do the same as the Talibans would do...

Taliban's are puritans ....they literally believe in the Quran and Traditions as per their own interpretations which adherents of other Muslim sects believe to be unacceptable and wrong...

But the real question here is not what Taliban's believe or deny...the question is that they dominate the population of their land and seemingly have the right to democratically elect and rule their own people and land as do the Saudi's and Emirates do.
Their contention with America is that America is an aggressor and illegal occupier of their land and wants to impose it's puppet rulers over them...which they say is unacceptable to them as they want to form their own govts. I think they should be given the right to democracy and a plebisite or referendum in their own land let their people decide who they want and what laws they want to govern them....I also think that that could be a better solution than America wasting its time, money and lives warring them ....fruitlessly for years on.

War on Terror has badly flopped and has in fact given more impetus to terrorism and that is bad//

Nothing you've said I disagree with.

The question is, if the Taliban were to form a government and were to be in power, would they relinquish the power given to them if they were "elected" out of power?

Ironically and sad enough, Christianity has the same issue with people having their own interpretation with their own religious writings written centuries upon centuries ago.

If they have the right..then why do they get gunned down by pk forces when they come to town?

We only kill terrorists maz..who cares if terrorist leaders are being killed unless you are a terrorist.
Hell if we had thousands upon thousands of terrorists here..I dont care who is killing them..any nation that is willing gets a thumb up from me.

Good question, I sincerely appreciate.

I think if Taliban got elected they wouldn't easily give up control but pass it on to their successors through some form of democracy. Afterall the Greek type of democracy is not the only one type that's followed by others..I also think they might establish a govt just like Iran...or perhaps Saudia but differing in that it won't be dynastical type. Well, you can assess how Taliban presently elect their leaders through a majlis e shoora or a parliament of advisers.

But the real problem is not limited to Taliban ..it's the people themselves who want Taliban!! According to them Taliban can crush crime and get them justice..which I think they did during their brief stint of rule in Afghanistan...I also think that If Sharia is enforced by them there would be almost an end to crime....as is in Saudia or UAE where a few locals rule the millions!

Because they are infiltrating into Pak as well...and if they succeed in converting Pak people on their side this whole world would go haywire..Mind it Pak is very much stronger than Afghanistan ...and is also an ally of America..rather a frontline ally fighting the war as its proxy.

Unfortunately the Taliban have gained considerable sympathy among some people in Pak who have formed various groups on their pattern and that is not good news for anyone, is it??
