Did I mention you or do you easily identify yourself with the term "idiotic"?

No one has ever called me an idiot. Wouldn't care if they did, it would be a lie :) But please, do pretend you weren't trying to catch my attention with your passive aggressive comment. I didn't see anyone else reply to Francis' comment, so unless you're referring to something we can't see in this thread, have the courage to admit you wanted to start something with me.

I'm sure no one calls you anything to your face because you are so sensitive. Why would I want to "start anything" with someone who only wussies out before it is "started" anyway. Certainly no challenge there.

What an idiotic statement....you can tell by who likes it.

Tell me why it is an idiotic statement?

You know to each religion the other is considered a Cult right?

The word cult in current popular usage usually refers to a new religious movement or other group whose beliefs or practices are considered abnormal or bizarre. The word originally denoted a system of ritual practices. The word was first used in the early 17th century denoting homage paid to a divinity and derived from the French culte or Latin cultus, ‘worship’, from cult-, ‘inhabited, cultivated, worshipped,’ from the verb colere, 'care, cultivation'.

People don't care if someone is sensitive or not if they want to call them an idiot, bug. The point is to hurt their feelings. Do you ever read what you post?

Because you're a bored troll with no life.

"I hate religion but love Jesus" when translated often means my Christianity is better than all other sects of Christianity and all other religions. I call that religious bigotry. That's just a general comment, not directed at the OP.

I think religion is good. Religion organizes people. There are a lot of well meaning people out there who don't do much in the way of helping others. A church brings the people together and turns the good intentions into good actions. This doesn't mean we can't do good works without the church. But I think a church makes it easier.

Sometimes religion is good, sometimes it's really bad. My intent is not to get into a debate on how often it is good, but to express an opinion that unfortunately humans tend to corrupt religion as we do all endeavors. I know this is an overtly negative statement, but it is an observation and it applies very much to religion. In more cases than not, religion is not about live and let live and just improving one's self. It's about murdering those who don't conform or it's forcing your views down everyone's throat though legislation, because somehow you think that will make God happy, while being a hypocrite, while picking and choosing just what suits us, and ignoring what does not. Don't forget, we are special. One of my favorites is watching football players on Sunday pray to God for victory, as if he gives a damn, lol. This is a corrupted idea at it's best. Now if football players pray just to do their best, there is still a problem in perception, because real strength comes from within. It's not something given to you like a special power.

Tim is the only one that has to play a game here.

Take a look at your own avatar before making such a statement

It is obvious he can't debate anything even though he was a teenaged bible expert! :24:

The definition of debate varies greatly between us.

I absolutely love to debate, but for that to happen there needs to be a modicum of intelligence in my opposition.
So I will continue to debate with those who are able to bring something to the table and continue to ignore those who are incapable of such.

There is no game in my use of the avatar, only truth.

Smart forum members should be warned about a rabid forum member, lol.

Do you know how stupid you sound? Oh, so this must be the doombug trademark, trying to win debates through incomprehension. ;)

Oh quite the contrary. I win debates because others run away...you included. No one here can seem to get very far into a debate so they run away.

Are you saying that even if your wrong, you will bully your way in to winning an argument ?

Pretty extreme and I would think very un-Christian Like..

You have no clue what a debate is or what winning a debate means. Debates are not won by those expelling the most hot air, with the most staying power, and who don't realize they've made zero points with their contemporaries, in this case within this forum. Debates are won by convincing others of the superiority of your thoughts/premises. People walk away from you not because you won, but because arguing with a brick wall is a waste of time. By my reckoning, you haven't won a debate yet. For that, you'll have to change your tactics and inject meaningful substance into the discussion.

And you keep patting yourself on the back. I'm sure that serves you well in life.
