The Man, My oppinion is similiar to yours. I also believe that homosexuality is a learned behavior. DIfference between you and I is you like them, I dont. Look at prisons. Guys go in straight and come out gay.
My position is it can be a learned behavior..not solely a learned behavior being the cause.
Many would become gay anyway without example exposure.

Thank you for your words. Emma is doing great now. She makes good grades, no longer wets the bed, no longer has the nightmares that she used to have, and she is a star soccer/basketball/football player in the local leagues. She's a beautiful girl and I'm proud to have her call me "Aunt Tasha." :)

Aunt Tasha,
Tell Emma that "someone heard about you and said to tell you Hi and to keep up the good work."

Will do, thanks. I'll have to tear her away from her Justin Bieber posters...but she DOES love her Aunt Tasha. ;)

:wtf:

Do you just make shit up and then post it?

Shouldn't you just view them as a soldier? Not a "homo soldier" or in your case a "hetero soldier" or a "soldier that expresses extremely bigoted views".

Make what up? People going to prison straight then coming out Gay.. look it up little buddy

Good to know you'll put aside bigotry, hatred & intolerance when your life is on the line.

Job is a job. Any smart soldier that was gay would keep it under wraps though.

The burden of proof is on you... damn children and their "debating" skills. You don't get to make things up and present them as facts and expect people to just believe you. Maybe some of these people you're talking about are already gay when they go to prison, and then come out of the proverbial closet after their term is over. Jesus Christ, having a discussion with you is like talking to my four year old.

Here you are little fella

Prison Homosexuality and its effects on post-prison sexual behavior
http://www.williamapercy.com/wiki/images/Prison_Homosexuality_and_Its_Effect.pdf

Even then, when i was in High School i would say almost every girl became 'bisexual'. They would buy the "Yay im Bi!" T-Shirts, make out with one another etc.. etc.. then a bunch of them became 'lesbians'.. and now most of them are straight. Now ofcourse, most teenage girls just want attention and being 'bisexual' or a 'lesbian' gets them tons of it. I dont take lesbians seriously though. I think if you got a lesbian the right guy, it would work out. Then again, some girls should be lesbians. Especially the butchy looking ones.

Sorry kid, one article from 35 years ago doesn't quite count. Especially when it comes from someone that pretty much lived a double life... he said that homosexuals were disturbed and needed to seek therapy... yet he had a homosexual lifestyle himself. Additionally, his articles about homosexuals were published under a pseudonym. Additionally, you're still talking about a relatively small percentage of people that supposedly became gay because of their time in prison.

I know exactly what you mean. Most of the kids that grew up with my daughter are gay...lol. I think her and one of her best friends are the only two girls who haven't had some sort of lesbian relationship in highschool....it's amazing, it seems to be the 'in' thing to do now..lol

Heres the thing tho little fella,
I dont care about what his oppinion is on homosexuals. Read it and look through his numbers.
Point still stands, no matter how small the number(thought it isnt that small) people did go in straight and leave gay

The numbers are very small, not to mention the fact that the study was 35 years ago. You also haven't considered the possibility that these people were homosexual already and came out of the closet following their stay in prison. Like I said, having a "discussion" with you is like talking to my four year old. No wait, I take that back... my four year old doesn't express bigoted and hateful views.

retro, your whole trying to insult me when your losing an argument is similar to that of a 4 year old.

And i dont recall anywhere in the study where its stated that those men were 'closeted' homosexuals. They listed themselvs as heterosexuals beforehand. Un less i missed something. Then point it out for me.

You have a warped definition of "winning". Are you related to Charlie Sheen?

That being said, you haven't addressed the issues of that study being 35 years old, or its small sample size. People could have been gay without admitting it prior to serving time in prison... especialy in the 70s. Homsexuality has only started to gain mainstream acceptance in the last 10 years. Additionally, the fact that those men "became" homosexuals after spending time in prison could have come from the fact that they realized that they possibly enjoyed the homosexual encounters that they experienced while in prison, thus assuming that they're gay. There are any number of other factors that could be considered. Like I said, it's still a small sample size, and it doesn't nothing to "prove" that homosexuality is a learned behavior, which seems to be your assertion.

Now run along and let the grown ups talk.

Also: learn the fucking difference between your and you're; as well as there, their, and they're. Those aren't particularly difficult grammatical concepts, and yet they seem to escape you.

I choose to be straight...I could choose to be gay..its a choice.

Are you saying you're sexually attracted to both men and women? Or are you just saying you could have sex with a man if you wanted?

If it's the second one then that's pretty typical. There probably are a few men who just couldn't do it. But most men could have sex with another man. They just don't want to.

Sex in prison is a matter of survival for the weaker inmates. They are often beaten into submission or threatened into it. Does that make them gay? I think not. The ones who fight are often still victimized by multiple agressors - meaning gang raped.

The prison example of learned homosexual behavior is a poor one - it's all about survival until they can get released from prison. Go to youtube and google and search "prison rape" and see what comes up.

NO....I AM STRAIGHT
I rarely use caps but thought it was appropriate so there is no confusion on board as to my preference

We are physically capable is what I was saying...so we have a choice if we want to engage in gay activity
I choose not to

So....you reached puberty and chose, or you experimented, or what?

How and when did you decide to "choose" to be straight?
Its just something I have "known" for as long as I have been sexually aware....I do not remember making an actual "conscious" decision to be this way..so I would be interested to know how you came to the realisation.

But you're predisposed to be attracted towards the opposite sex. Other people are predisposed to be the opposite. Saying that you choose not to be gay in that manner is just like saying that you choose not to have sex with animals. You're physically capable, but you choose not to.
