It's a strange one! I thought it was a joke when I first read about it, especially given Philips...erm...non pc views, to put it mildly, on foreigners!

Here are some similarities and differences between the three religions: Muslim, Jewish, and Christian for those interested. As you will see, even the similarities between Muslim, Jewish, and Christian are very different. Eschatology Comparison

Yes He can become a human if he wanted to. But, like I said, if God only takes a human form but does not become a human being, He should not possess any human qualities. We know that all the ‘God-men’, have human qualities and failings. They have all the human needs such as the need to eat, sleep, etc. The worship of God in human form is therefore a logical fallacy and should be abhorred in all its forms and manifestations.
You're limiting what he can do, still. If the supreme creator of EVERYTHING wants to become what you just said he "shouldn't" he should be able to.

He can be anything he wants, but God said that there isn't anything like Him, so he shouldn't become a human because of that.

That is a very interesting chart Grace. Excellent reading.

this sums it up...

:24: LOL Dana. That Lewis Black stand up was very funny. Not so much a fan of his but that was good stand up.

Rep delivered.

Another quick question:

How did Muhammed know that the oral records passed down for thousands of years were purposely altered?
Temp, I'm just wondering what the Muslim faith says about this. How did Muhammed know? I'm honestly trying to understand because I know little about the teachings of Islam. Thanks.

hmmm....very interesting website Temperamental. Very nice looking and layout too. Just browsed through the first page of sections. I'm inclined to peruse it in more detail when I get a chance later. I'm liking the embodiment of embracing the concepts of the 3 main religions as opposed to the normal "mine is better...yours is not" mentality.

This I found interesting and encouraging from the main page (others too):

As people who believe in God and follow His revelations, let us rally to a common formula - "faith". Let's love God, Who is our Creator and Lord, and follow His commands. And let us pray God to lead us to an even straighter path. When Muslims, Christians and Jews rally to a common formula this way; when they understand that they are friends not enemies, when they see that the real enemy is atheism and paganism, then the world will become a very different place. The fighting that has raged for ages, enmities, fears - and terrorist attacks - will come to an end, and a new civilization based on love, respect and peace will be established upon this "common formula".

Although the divine religions contain different rules in the light of the climate and conditions in which they were revealed, they essentially offer the same model of belief and morality. They have all offered the same fundamental truths regarding such matters as the existence, oneness and attributes of God, how He should be served, the kind of behaviour He finds pleasing, how one should live and behave, the concepts of good and bad, right and wrong, how people should order their lives in this world, and how one can obtain eternal life .

thanks. I would like to understand...

OK. I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier, but it was because I didn't exactly know how, so I just asked my dad and he told me it's because God told the Prophet Muhammed about it. I think it's written in the Holy Quran too, I'm not sure. The Holy Quran is 100% accurate because no one can find any mistakes in it and there are miracles in it. If you would like to know what they are go on: Miracles of the Qur'an - Modern Science Reveals New Miracles of the Qur'an

Plus, even if the Koran was 100% accurate, that just means the stories are accurate to the point where the writer intended them to be. it doesn't mean or prove any of the stories inside of it hold any truth at all.

They snip out passages from the Holy Quran and give you the wrong meaning because they want Islam to look bad. I'll show you how they're wrong when I finish my period.
