Oh man I totally forgot this thread. Awesome apps for the Android. If you have sky and something which gets apps there is no reason for you not to have 'Remote Record', it lets you record from your phone to your Sky box, in case you forget and you're out. Great stuff. ESPN goals is pretty nifty, let's you see the goals from the games pretty much straight after the games. And of course my sat nav app in case I ever get lost, it also highlights shops, pubs etc. And of course the betting app is handy, saves having to bet on my PC on sports.

iOS5 has been released, though you will have to update iTunes first (bummer on my allowance). Anyway, one of the many features is iClouds, and no need for your iPhone to be connected up via the supplied cable for apps to be updated, though I don't know if that is true with the iOS update itself

Wait what? I don't know how it works in England, but I've never needed my iPhone to be connected to my computer to update my apps.

I just upgraded to iOS 5, and I'm liking it so far. There aren't a whole ton of differences between 4 and 5 so far other than the iCloud integration. But I've also been re-arranging all of my apps for the last hour or so after it upgraded, so I haven't played with a lot of the new features yet either.

I think I should smash my old iPhone with a hammer. Just in an attempt to improve upon it. Which shouldn't be hard. :D

Oh wait, so I never did update via the cable, so I don't know what this update is all about. Personally I won't enable iCloud either

Apple have added a few new apps. Also, when syncing, it doesn't have that irritating blank screen i.e. you are allowed to continue to what you are doing while it updates or syncs items to/from the iPhone

Also allows you to tweet photos (though you have to have the twitter app I think)

I did. But I'm not sure why. I don't have any other Apple products anymore.

I have a MBP, but I'm still not ready to start storing all kinds of my stuff remotely. Security issues are bound to come up, it just launched.

With that said, I am stoked to be able to customize my text and email notifiers with ringtones instead of bs preloaded sounds. Also, the reminder app works awesome!!

it's just a new version of iOS with new features for the iPhone 4S (like Siri) and some changes for the rest of us as well.

And yeah, I love the fact that I can do other stuff on my phone while I'm syncing apps and music and such to it. So damn convenient.
