Re: The iPhone/Android/Windows 7 Phone thread

I don't have an iPhone but I have an iPod Touch which uses the same apps. I have:
  • Angry Birds (Love...)
  • Boggle (I could play this for hours)
  • Talking Tom (Francis showed me this one when he was here. It's hilarious.)
  • ScoreMobile (gotta keep up with those NHL scores)
  • WeatherEye (so I know when it's minus stupid degrees outside)
  • Calgary Flames app
  • iBird Canada (ID's birds)
  • GoSky Watch (astronomy)
  • Kitten Canon :ninja
  • Flashlight (Sounds stupid but it's come in handy a few times)
On my BlackBerry I have:
  • ScoreMobile
  • WeatherEye
  • eBay Mobile
  • Cineplex Mobile
My BB also came with stuff like Twitter and MySpace on it, which I promptly deleted because I'll never use those anyway. I also deleted GoogleTalk, Yahoo Messenger and AIM, again because I never use those. Kept BB Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.

Search for Tapatalk. I (and Retro) have both mentioned it in feedback but no response on that yet. I use it at the other forum Retro mentions - it works well.

Tapatalk? A vbulletin forum app. Easier way to view threads than via the inbuilt browsers which can be fiddly to read threads and stuff on. Also PMs and such too with the app.

are sweet. Yeah otz was a little fiddly when i tried it, not terrible, just a little fiddly

Re: The iPhone/Android/Windows 7 Phone thread

Is there a need maybe for a follow up in re: Tapatalk ??

If no one can do it- can't anyone of the Geek Squads of OTz help make it happen? That would be awesome :D:thumbup

I've offered my help to Veronica at least twice on getting it setup, and she hasn't taken me up on it. I installed it on my forum and it took all of about 15 minutes.

Re: The iPhone/Android/Windows 7 Phone thread

I just got an android phone on Friday, so I'm still learning the useful apps.

So far I have:
Facebook
Pandora
Advanced Task Killer
ChompSMS
Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons
Bookmarks to SD which will save all my internet bookmarks to the memory card so it doesn't take up space on my phone.
CraigsBrowser (Craigslist.)
Dolphin Browser HD
Grooveshark
an HD Wallpapers app
a bejeweled ripoff.
Slacker Radio
Unblock Me
and Wikpedia Mobile.

Of course, all of those are going to be vanishing if I can get the 2.2 update on my phone.

Isn't Pandora basically the same as Slacker??? I don't have Pandora, but someone was talking about it the other day and it struck me as being very similar.

They are the same. I have slacker because I'm trying it out to compare it to Pandora. So far, I haven't found a way to build a station around a song or an artist, but I haven't messed around with it too much. I just get tired of Pandora and the stations playing the same songs all the time. So we'll see.

What I really wanted was tinyshark. The mobile app for grooveshark, but evidently it isn't available on 2.1 because I can't find it in the market. And the actual grooveshark app only works with a subscription. And I don't want it that bad. Lol

Oddly enough, I just read an article comparing the 2 (gist: Pandora SUCKS!). I know you have to hit the little heart button to customize your stations but I haven't played around w/ it beyond that.
