Jean Luc Picard. He always tried to handle situations with diplomacy, but he wasn't afraid to engage in battle either.

Klingons, they are warriors, and honorable.

Negh'Var warship (Klingon)

Yes, he did an amazing job casting that movie. I love it!

Romulans. They started to get some exposure in latter seasons of DS9 but they should have seen more action to the promise that was never capitalised upon in that early TNG episode:
Tebok - "Your presence is not wanted. Do you understand my meaning, captain? We... are back."
Picard - "I think our lives just became a lot more complicated. "
(which of course, they didn't - unfortunately).

Romulan Warbird - D'deridex class.

Absolutely... I thought they did an amazing job with it, and I actually liked the alternate timeline direction. It gives them plenty of options for stories moving forward, without falling prey to merely remaking the same thing, or having to fit things around the rest of the "original" canon.

The Valdore-type Warbird is a legit. It's smaller and better maneuvered than the old d'deridex class, and they have the same fire power.
and, I also enjoyed the alternate time line, but I could have done without the destruction of Vulcan. That whole sequence of events made me think of the Death Star destroying Alderan.
When I was little, I'd make my mum put elastic bands on my fingers so I could do the Vulcan salute like Spock. I can now do it perfectly on each hand and I am very VERY proud.
