And really I am in shock/anger for you. Why would your mum not even ask you if it was ok to do that?

Some people really don't get books. My mum only reads books once, never again, and she always used to be asking me, did I not want to get rid of some of my old ones? No I did not haha :p

Oh I love The Bell Jar (no surprise there). Have you read Johnny Panic And The Bible Of Dreams?

I haven't, I will look for it online!
It's part of our dysfunctional dynamic, she enjoys undermining me. Nothing pleases her more than seeing my reaction when I discover she's done something terrible to me, or my dog, or my things. Crazy woman :p

Hehe, ya I like to keep them! I have a nice tiny collection going, and I'd like my bf and I to have a nice one.

Johnny Panic is very good. It's a collection of short stories (some are amazing but a couple are a bit meh), a couple of diary entries and the beginning of a novel SP started but never finished.

Ugh, I have been struggling for four days now to get through the Scarlet Letter. I like to think I have a pretty good grasp on the English language, but Nathaniel Hawthorne really needs to tone down the paragraph long sentences. Half the time I've forgotten what the sentence was about by the time I get to the end. And it really should not have taken me til nearly 20% of the way through the book to even get to the start of the story. I am pretty certain I have no idea what really happened in the first 17 or 18% of the book.

I finished the first book of this year this morning. Will add it to my list when I finish the other two I have going.

I just started The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo last night. Might as well see what all the hype is.

I found the first 100 pages or so really boring and really couldn't see what the fuss was about. After that it became really good.

I almost did that after reading the first page lol. I had to tell myself to give it a chance.

On a side note, I finished "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" a few days ago. Not a bad book. It's sort of like Catcher in the Rye, a teenage/angst coming of age novel with a more modern twist.

I like that book. Very excited about the film.

I've almost finished my first book. :ninja When I'm finished I might "cheat" and read the Chronicles of Narnia. That's six books and I can finish them all in a few days. :D :ninja

The next book I finish will be book 14 of 2012. I'm glad I decided to list one book a week the challenge instead of just going till I reach 52 lol
