Right, and by "no reason" I mean that it takes very little to set them off, any little thing could terrify a baby and start it screaming, what in the babies mind is a good reason to scream could really be any slight thing that can't hurt him in any way.

Babies are motivated by their basic drives, they don't just go off for a little minuscule thing. It's usually for things like hunger, sleep, burping/farting. I don't think a baby would even be disturbed by a fly landing on it.

I've seen babies go berserk over insects crawling on or near them before.

I had both of mine circumcised and don't regret it. And was very happy when neither of them seemed to be in too much pain shortly after when they were brought back to the room to me.

its also preferred to have it done while an infant because babies/kids heal faster than they do as adults. which is why its better to get tonsils taken out as a kid than it is to get them taken out as an adult

That about sums it up. There's just going to be some people who agree with this like me if I had boys. And there's going to be some that don't. To each their own decision to make. It shouldn't be banned!

I agree that it shouldn't be banned. It's easier for a baby to recover and its easier for a parent to care for and make sure the area is kept clean and covered with petroleum jelly. Babies also heal quicker than adults do and that's usually the case for any surgery.

Wikipedia uses references, it isn't just made up. There are probably genuine people out there who like writing this stuff honestly.
