a newborn is already 9 months old when he enters this world, so no harm in getting him circumcised after that age...but at higher age such as 18 the act would sound painfully dreadful and hardly any man would like to go against the wishes of his gf who likes it whole!!:)

it is relevant when you're talking about fundamental human rights.

The issue for many is that foreskin removal violates the baby's rights.

The contradiction comes that if you think the above is true, but agree with abortion, how is ok to violate the baby's right to life, yet not ok to violate the baby's right of body?

Abortion is okay if it poses health hazard to the mother or the upcoming bunny....otherwise it is an escape door
for the illicit act of men and women. Contraception sounds better than killing a child in the womb for one's own
selfish reasons, whatever.
BTW Iran has just banned Contraception and called it Haraam!! Thus you can imagine how abortion is held in countries like Iran..should be equal to 'contemplated murder!'

Circumcision is worse at birth, the infant has no anesthetic and goes through excruciating pain. It's much more riskier. If you are older however, you can have the anesthetic, and gives the child a choice.

I agree to disagree..I had all my sons circumcised within one week of their birth...they do not even remember the pain or event itself. Had they grown up and had their foreskins off firstly they would have been too scared to undergo the 'ordeal', secondly it would certainly had left them in trauma all their lives!
One of my kid brother was circumcized at age 12 and I still can't forget his misery...the poor could couldn't even walk for weeks and it seemed he suffered from some kinda VD!!

would an uncircumcised man (18+) here tell us how would he feel if he had to get circumcised now??
I believe nobody would like the idea!!(unless it made difference to women!:)

I have to say I'd hate to have it done now. It would be seriously painful!

They do give them a local numbing agent. But I can't imagine the pain involved in pricking a penis with a needle. Twice.

I'd say if you haven't had it done as a child why put yourself through it now? I'm "allergic" to pain. If I wasn't already circumcised i probably wouldn't have it done, unless It imposed a health risk then I'd have them knock me the fuck out.

that and its a lot more expensive to get it done as an adult than it is when you're a baby

I agree. Here's a link comparing the two: Adult Circumcision vs. Infant Circumcision. You have to scroll down about 2/3 through the page to get to the paragraph with that title.

I was looking at a link before that compared the two as well, but I forget what it said. Logically it just seems better, because infants can't be anesthetised, but older people can. The points in your link seem to sum it up nicely. I also thought that because someone gets it done older, they would have control over the healing process, not just have it snipped and let it rest.
