I think that we were talking about love and the faith we have in IT. You never said anything about God.

your original post....You will never know for sure what someone elses emotions are and I doubt anyone would dispute that, what you work off is how they treat you, what they do for you etc. Comparing having faith in someone elses emotions and having faith in someone that you've never seen and no one else in the world has seen, existing are two very different things.

Yes, but I was explaining why, imo, having faith in the love say, your husband has for you, is different to having faith in love that you think God has for you. Firstly, you have to have faith in the fact that God exists because (as i was trying to say before, nobody has ever even seen him/her/it) and then you have to have faith in the fact that he loves you as well. That's why i think the two are different.

Back when I was a fundamentalist Christian I always wondered why man and ape were nearly identical in terms of genes. I mean if god created man to be above the beasts of the land, then why didn't he just make us unique? Every living thing on this earth is built on the exact same building blocks of life. Through gene mapping we can trace our roots back to the amoeba... Was god so limited that he couldn't make us unique, completely different than the beasts of the earth????

Back when I was a fundamentalist christian, I used to wonder where in the heck Cain found a wife....I guess his wife was a neanderthal.......Based on the info we are discussing, I guess that idea has merit. A google search shows that many others have drawn same conclusion. Interesting.

Again, we were speaking of LOVE and the faith we have in IT. To have faith in something, anything. You have faith in the love that somebody says they feel for you........yet you have no real proof that it exists and truth be told, you never will, all you can do is believe in it. And people show this kind of faith every single day of their lives. My faith in God's love is no different really, not when I'm telling you that I know Him. You don't believe what I'm saying because you don't know ME and you've never experienced God as I have.....but does that make Him not real when millions of people all over the world claim to love Him too?

Where did you learn about Cain, was it from readong the bible or are you just repeating something somebody else may have said? I'm curious.

I understand what you're saying but I'm simply trying to explain to you why I think having faith in an actual persons love is different from having faith in the love of a God. I don't think the two are at all comparable because you first have to have faith that they actually exist and then on top of that have faith in the fact that they love you too.

We're not referring to the actual person or persons, we're referring to just the LOVE. How can LOVE be proven and if it can't does it actually exist?

Well, love is only a word, a man made word so it means different things to different people, you're idea and mine could be completely different so, no it can't be proven imo

The answer you will get is that Adam and Eve had many children, not just Cain and Able. I asked this very question long ago...

Go on then, move a mountain. Move Everest to the rockies. If you cant, according to your holy book, you have no faith. :24:
