Nice try..when you follow your link and then its source it shows for 2009 where he extended the bush tax cuts...you know the ones you democrats whine about.
But anyway its not really that important as one area of tax doesn't equate to total revenues which are the sum of all taxes and tarriffs.
The fact is that for 2011 govt spending is just short of double for pre bush jr era...you know the era that obama was supposed to get his back to...spending hasnt declined but merely increased just as with bush.
So yes the same problem that got us in this mess has not being reversed but actually continued.
Not if you include the ones that had to fold....look around there is no growth...regardless of the source one uses to support his claim..you cant have growth with a crippled economy.
They still seem to be with us hey{our allies}.....but back to foreign relations and the problems nations...he is soft with problem nations...he just as well be sucking dick on stage as that is what is speeches consist of.

You and Accountable just can't bring yourselves to acknowledge 8 years of credit card war and tax cuts have done to our debt and pushed us to the edge. Open your eyes and look at the chart. Most economists agree that more money had to be thrown at the terrible situation brought to us by a SPEND USING CREDIT, REPUBLICAN ADMINISTRATION to stop the free fall. The overall effectiveness of that spending is highly debated. OF COURSE, all your going to hear from the GOP what a dismal failure it was. That's in their best political interests to do so, right? right. You keep relying on your sources and I'll keep reading mine.
How to reduce spending {which is what got us into this mess right}...is to increase spending.

Empty threats, and sabre rattling more your speed? problem nations cannot be threatened as in Bush era, they do not repond to threats. You have to deal with them diplomatically and through sanctions...otherwise you get involved in yet another expensive war that you can use to blame (financially)on the next president...mmm hmmm

As far as sanctions...I agree and disagree....while it is the first course...it seldom works..it harms the average citizen ..not the big cheese on the throne.
You then get the world reputation of starving innocent people...the citizens of said nations learn to hate the US very fast...If sanctions had not occurred...The people in the problem nations are more apt to accept a war against their nation....Sanctions pull the enemy together {you know sort of like patriotism}

I didnt say bush decreased spending my position is clear that he increased spending.
The post your reference is in response to another post which tried to offer an excuse for increased spending by the Obama administration.
While you may think the war wasnt needed.... our country did as well as dozen of allies.
I am not saying I agree with the war...but have no regrets going in on the barbarian {As far as Iraq}
As far as Afg...fuck em the taliban was the established govt and a safe haven for training of AQ....no regrets.

All sanctions do is allow the govt of the enemy make bastards out of the nation that is applying sanctions....This causes insurgents or ordinary citizens fighting when a war actually starts due to the fact we are bastards in their eyes.
Remember...private citizens far out number a military...If just 25 percent of the citizens are willing to prowl and wait for that time to get off one shot to kill...you have major problems..as you cant shoot citizens but they will soon have you picked off.
Thus why sanctions can be bad...now imagine a raid for WMD..without sanctions in place first...the citizens arent prepared...they havent been taught to hate us...no 5 years of teaching hate in the media.
If one just merely raids for the WMD without all the bullshit first they are much better off

We had tons of sanctions against Iraq, and despite the misinformation and lies that got us in there the civillians didnt seem to be that pissed....in fact it took insurgants from Iran and Saudi Arabia to name a couple countries for us to begin to get some resistance from anyone but the Republican Guard!
Yeah right, we have a second ammendmant and everyone I know is armed(my step dad alone could hold off a platoon) You don't think that whatever the reason for invasion, the invadors would be resisted in the USA...You are very mistaken!!
Fear is a republican staple that not everyone agrees with. I feel that working together for common good is a much better approach to relationships than fear. It is the same as in parenting. You don't threaten to beat a child to make them fear and thereby obey you. You give positive re-inforcement until they commit an error, and then punish them accordingly. You don't beat them for playing with fire, you teach them that fire is hot. then you limit there access to matches and lighters. You teach Foreign Problem Countries that we won't continue to give them foreign aid if they use that aide to commit humanitarian crimes and create weapons to be used against us and our allies.
This is where we have significant philisophical differences....

You are wasting your breath quoting facts, lol.
The actual equation is that our budget is composed of revenue on one hand and spending on the other. The GOP has wildly succeeded in their goal of cutting revenue. Part 2 of the plan is to point the finger at spending as the problem. If our debt problem is to be fixed any time soon or semi-soon, it's going to take adjustments on both sides of the equation. After taxes have been cut to the nub, even if the economy came roaring back, there'd still be too little revenue to erase the debt in a generation.
My biggest concern is our 4 year election cycle. There is absolutely no way to ensure the validity of any proposed long term plan coming from any Party. I don't believe we have the will power to fix our problems and won't fix them until the economy crashes and we are forced to do so.
Wasn't it more like a $2 Trillion war when all was said and done? BTW, I'm not happy that Obama ran on a pledge of getting out of these fiscal sink holes and we are still there. You'd think the GOP would be thrilled that we are, but Obama gets credit for nothing. And I do not give him credit on his handling of the war. But no matter, the Republicans scare me even worse. However, I suspect that if Obama wins the election, it's going to be 4 more years of GOP BS, just like the last 4 years. Maybe Mitt should win, for something, anything, that might turn us around or hasten our crash... at least then I could say, it serves us right.
If anything, the GOP must get over their love of military adventurism. I heard both McCain and Romney speak in militaristic manner. We can no longer afford to police the world. Let the rest of the world chip in and help. We are going bankrupt doing it.
I guess another war would solve the problem... :smiley24:

Iraq is is about 60 percent the size of texas how long should it take to whip about half of texas if it was divided of,not very long...about 3 weeks

Years of sanctions caused a huge hate for America making the war 10 times harder than it needed to be.
Dont be so sure about your fellow patriotism ....but if an enemy nation had starved us of supplies for many years and our govt instilled in our minds that they are some major assholes..you might get some resistance.

There has been no success in cutting revenue by the gop nor the democrats.
Lets concentrate on spending..which is what causes the entire problem to begin with.
The obama administration has increased spending at the same rate as bush was doing.
