Anyone can say that they see God's love and light, those things are easy, rest is depends if they are really do see those things from God

You implied that awareness of God had nothing to do with the execution of evil acts. I responded and disagreed with you. :)

Wow, are those insults? Sheesh

I'm not picking on you, but that list of quotes are mostly statements made for no other reason than to demean the other person's position without adding any sincere substance.

Well I can't believe he has. Again you believe the starving has something to do with God and his "evil" act

I do add substance to the argument, but time and time again you choose to ignore them simply you don't want to discuss things

Speculation might suggest that they thought their lives sucked, so how could there be a Christian God?

This does seem to be a popular reason to either reject a Christian God, or to declare being an enemy of the Christian God.

"If God is so loving, why does he allow so many evil acts to happen ... he must be an asshole." This comment can be witnessed A LOT from people.

While not being a Christian myself, I have always found those types of comments a little bit short-sighted in trying to understand something that we simply can't understand. The same goes for comments like, "The Lord is a vengeful God who will strike down all who oppose him."

These comments are, in my opinion, emotional attempts to understand something that simply can't be understood.

Some of this is hilarious.

God can only do good and no evil? Yet he is the almighty responsible for your existence?

Make up you mind. You can not have it both ways. He is either responsible for the good or not. If he is then he has to be equally responsible for the evil.

I'd say what Mercury said there applies here:

Sometimes ya gotta stretch the real truth to fit your truth

He takes full responsibility. [h=3]Isaiah 45:7[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]7 [/SUP]I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

I think you are confused about something I said. I've not talked about starving unless you talking about starving for God's love?

I do add substance to the argument, but time and time again you choose to ignore them simply you don't want to discuss things

Again you may be confused. I don't believe I have ignored any of your statements of substance directed at me.

This does seem to be a popular reason to either reject a Christian God, or to declare being an enemy of the Christian God.

The problem with people losing their faith and/or rejecting God has to do with viewing your life with a human perspective and having unrealistic expectations directed at God. In other words, this life is all there is, my life sucks, so I don't like God for allowing it to happen. Some religious people seem to forget that heaven is where our real lives start. So why limit perspective to this life? And who says that facing obstacles is not part of the big plan?? Even though I can't say I believe it, I like the notion that there is a purpose for this life. That purpose would have to be to LEARN something or for self improvement. If God made it easy for everyone, what's to learn? However I also like the notion that if there is judgement, it is you judging yourself. That we don't have to worry about a strict set of external standards coercing us to act in a manner favorable to God's standard. Hopefully for most of us, learning and becoming better people is a natural progression.

And for those with weak reading comprehension, this is not my belief, but a hope. :)

One quote from the link I just posted

It is not speaking of moral evil; rather, it is dealing with calamity, distress, etc.

Deuteronomy 28:56-59
[SUP]58 [/SUP]If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name —the Lord your God— [SUP]59 [/SUP]the Lord will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses.

I get it. When Stalin and Pol Pot do it, it's evil but when god does it, it's calamity, distress, etc. :thumbup

It is these types of entries in any holy text that make me wonder how much Human influence went into the writing ...
