Anyone can say that they see God's love and light, those things are easy, rest is depends if they are really do see those things from God
Wow, are those insults? Sheesh
You implied that awareness of God had nothing to do with the execution of evil acts. I responded and disagreed with you.
I'm not picking on you, but that list of quotes are mostly statements made for no other reason than to demean the other person's position without adding any sincere substance.
Speculation might suggest that they thought their lives sucked, so how could there be a Christian God?
Some of this is hilarious.
God can only do good and no evil? Yet he is the almighty responsible for your existence?
Make up you mind. You can not have it both ways. He is either responsible for the good or not. If he is then he has to be equally responsible for the evil.
Fundies.... >>>>>>>>>>>>>:thumbup
These comments are, in my opinion, emotional attempts to understand something that simply can't be understood.
He takes full responsibility. [h=3]Isaiah 45:7[/h]King James Version (KJV)Some of this is hilarious.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

It is not speaking of moral evil; rather, it is dealing with calamity, distress, etc.
Why is there a giant smoke cloud coming out of the north and the DEA headed in that direction on I75?........
The "evil" that is spoken of is not ontological evil, but the evil experienced by people in the form of calamity.
It might be the coroners office instead given the headaches I have had the last few days with crap.
I won't blame it on god though
Well I can't believe he has. Again you believe the starving has something to do with God and his "evil" act
I do add substance to the argument, but time and time again you choose to ignore them simply you don't want to discuss things
This does seem to be a popular reason to either reject a Christian God, or to declare being an enemy of the Christian God.
"If God is so loving, why does he allow so many evil acts to happen ... he must be an asshole." This comment can be witnessed A LOT from people.
While not being a Christian myself, I have always found those types of comments a little bit short-sighted in trying to understand something that we simply can't understand. The same goes for comments like, "The Lord is a vengeful God who will strike down all who oppose him."
These comments are, in my opinion, emotional attempts to understand something that simply can't be understood.

And for those with weak reading comprehension, this is not my belief, but a hope.
One quote from the link I just posted
It is not speaking of moral evil; rather, it is dealing with calamity, distress, etc.
Deuteronomy 28:56-59
[SUP]58 [/SUP]If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name —the Lord your God— [SUP]59 [/SUP]the Lord will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses.
I get it. When Stalin and Pol Pot do it, it's evil but when god does it, it's calamity, distress, etc. :thumbup
