Quite a few legends from Serie A have gone, it must of been an emotional time up and down Italy at the respective final whistles knowing that a club legend is leaving.

Seedorf will get a club, he's only 36 and has already played what seems like forever. Inaghi's having a patch of grass named after him at the San Siro, the one where he was caught offside 477,465 times. Gattuso's a twat.

Seedorf could finish off his career in England, would love to see him play in the Premier League but with a mid-table club like Swansea or Wigan.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter is thinking about an alternative to penalty shoot outs. Now after thinknig about it I've decided to humour him and suggest the following.

Crossbar challenge (11 players from each team take it in turns to try and hit the crossbar from the halfway line - if it's a draw after 11 vs 11 we go into sudden death)

Rock, paper, scissors - 11 vs 11 again. 1 on 1 with the winner winning for his team.

Egg and spoon race all the way round the stadium, whoever has the most eggs after wins.

Wasn't he at one point the player who's won the most Champions League trophies? Hell, I'll gladly let him play for Swansea! I'm sure I've heared his name linked with Chelsea..mind you, at this time of year every free agent is linked to any club that could afford them...

Twitter :p

Two games today I'll watch, Huddersfield vs Sheffield United, not really bothered who wins but if Huddersfield don't win Jordan Rhodes will surely leave. He's far too good for League one.

And Norway vs England, Hodgson's first match will be interesting. I'd like him to go experimental (which he's done kinda by picking Jones, Jagielka, Carroll and a couple of others, full team not confirmed) and surely have to win.

Fairly lacklustre performance from England overall where i actually think they broke the world record for having the most wingers on the field from any one team. And Gareth Barry, who it must be said looked awful in the quarter hour or so he was on (he went off with a groin injury, not caused by completing a pass). Positive wise...well it was a 1-0 win, Ashley young looked good, and actually did something I like, berated a fellow player fairly for doing something wrong. I'm not saying it should happen aggressively, just constructively. Oxlade Chamberlain looked fearless which is a good sign, if he keeps it up. Baines looked fine. And errm....well, forget the last hour and it was a good display, but unfortunately football's 90 minutes long. Possession retention was down and giving away was up, which would obviously be a concern. But it's a win, most important thing for Hodgson who i hope succeeds.

Gerrard was pretty useless and just thumped long balls up to no one. Next game should be better with the Chelsea contingent and Rooney in

I'm not sure Rooney will play. Something in the back of my mind tells me Hodgson says he wasn't going to play him until the third group game, which is fine because everyone knows Rooney's first choice and he has to have a replacement in the first two games. Based on what I saw of Carroll he was fine enough, but needs the right support. But I'd have still taken Crouch over him.

Gareth Barry lol.giflol.gif

I had to mention him again, how he genuinely gets along in life is beyond me. He doesn't really run, it's like there's this invisible pit of quicksand he falls into at the start of every game and doesn't get out of until it finishes.

Soccer Aid tomorrow. It's not something that should ever be taken seriously (Jonathan Wilkes is there for a start) but it's funny to watch.

My dear old mother will never forget that day either (well, the replay), basically they had 4 tickets, one for my uncle, one for my grandad, one for his mate and this other lad who was coming. When it was found the replay was on a Wednesday this other lad couldn't go, so my mum was going. But right at the last minute he turned up announcing he could go. And they went. Broke my mum's heart.

Course we can look back on it now and laugh.
