Manager is a bit of a misnomer anyway.

Not even someone like Sir Alex has absolute, or anything even remotely close to, absolute control.

Villa have lost their manager

Villa have an American owner

Bob Bradley ( who coached the US side in the world cup) might be the next manager, you guys better get used to the word coach and forget the term manager

the Americans are taking over

next up cheerleaders and TV timeouts

ok.....send the cheerleaders over....those dallas girls wil do for starters:D

They had cheerleaders way back when, I'm talking when Sky Sports first put Monday Night Football on (my assumption is because MNF in the US had them, why not the UK?), anyway it kinda sunk and they never were talked of again.

Carvalho has gone to Real Madrid

Chelsea will miss him, he was their best player along with Drogba last season.

Here's to hoping the Chelsea bubble is burst

He's a much better defender than Alex, however they have a good defender there in Ivanovic, who I actually rate. Some pointless friendlies tonight too, just hope nobody gets injured.

I'm writing this on the brink of full time with England winning 2-1. Not a bad performance by England really, still things to be learned. First half the buildup was there but the quality was lacking and the general performance. Goal woke them up really although I don't think it crossed the line, but Gerrard stepped up. Positive wise Zamora looked lively and not out of place (although it's only one half in a friendly), Adam Johnson looked fine as it was. Negatives, Lampard didn't do anything in the first half apart from blast a shot over, Rooney struggled in areas (although when he got a partner he improved - this is where England go wrong, at club level it's either with a fellow striker he plays or in a 4-3-3, whereas England did neither)

Full time 2-1, could have been better but at least it was a win. Improved from the World Cup.

Adam Johnson should have scored a goal that any half decent player would have scored, in the first half and completely fucked it.

0-0 draw between Spurs and Man City at the lane, good game for a 0-0, plenty of chances. Tottenham were the better side for me although City had a much better second half than the first. Joe Hart made a few good saves for City, big decision to be made there because both keepers have said they either want to play or leave.

The Blackpool momentum appears to be over for now, Arsenal 2-0 against them at the Emirates, Walcott and an Arshavin penalty, and they have had Ian Evett sent off.

5-0 now, Walcott with two more and Abou Diaby.

Ended 6-0, Chamakh with the last goal. Welcome to the Premier League Blackpool.

Weird game for West Ham, bad result but good performance. Shame we had a ref in charge who dosen't think kicking someone in the face is a foul too.

Fuck me, Newcastle recovered from last week well, beating Aston Villa 6-0.

We go to Fulham at 4, we must lay this ghost of the last two seasons.
