I'm writing this on the brink of full time with England winning 2-1. Not a bad performance by England really, still things to be learned. First half the buildup was there but the quality was lacking and the general performance. Goal woke them up really although I don't think it crossed the line, but Gerrard stepped up. Positive wise Zamora looked lively and not out of place (although it's only one half in a friendly), Adam Johnson looked fine as it was. Negatives, Lampard didn't do anything in the first half apart from blast a shot over, Rooney struggled in areas (although when he got a partner he improved - this is where England go wrong, at club level it's either with a fellow striker he plays or in a 4-3-3, whereas England did neither)

Full time 2-1, could have been better but at least it was a win. Improved from the World Cup.

0-0 draw between Spurs and Man City at the lane, good game for a 0-0, plenty of chances. Tottenham were the better side for me although City had a much better second half than the first. Joe Hart made a few good saves for City, big decision to be made there because both keepers have said they either want to play or leave.

The Blackpool momentum appears to be over for now, Arsenal 2-0 against them at the Emirates, Walcott and an Arshavin penalty, and they have had Ian Evett sent off.

5-0 now, Walcott with two more and Abou Diaby.

Ended 6-0, Chamakh with the last goal. Welcome to the Premier League Blackpool.
