Tyler's a Crystal Palace fan....

Couple of things from me.

My Facebook/Sickipedia

And Barcelona have just kicked off against Tenerife at Camp Nou. Foregone conclusion springs to mind.

Seriously, it's like a black cloud hangs over that team...Relegation to League 1. Yikes. Did Leeds get promoted? If so, I know a head that will be exploding very soon. :p

Barcelona best Tenerife 4-1 at Camp Nou. Not as comfortable as that suggests, Barca took the lead in the 17th minute from a neat finish from Messi, a shock equaliser from the visitors took the game level into the break. Bojan restored the lead in the 63rd minute and when Pedro made it 3-1 it was game over. Messi rounded it off in injury time.

Over to you Madrid.

ok...lets get this straight, colemans a great manager....he got the sack because he followed the boards instructions to the letter...and my belief is that he wasn't far away from making a success of it..he had a squad of mainly very young players and knew what the next signings needed to be.....when he came to the club he inherited a squad of players that no-one else wanted,he left with a very talented but inexperienced young team...so before scousers who think they still follow a big club slag him off read the facts....and TD,believe me,you could do alot worse...but i honestly can see him at west ham next season

but for us....god knows what lays in wait

Sure, I'll admit that I'd take Coleman now, but can't see him doing quite alot of us and I know the new chairman will want someone who knows how to run a big club, but saying that, look at Shankly when he came to us....

Hmmm, I'd swap him for Zola but then I'd swap Roeder for Zola! lol Personally I'd like to get McClaren but Coleman would be a good manager, thinking about it, good experience, not going to spend silly money and wouldn't cost too much.

One or two good seasons at Fulham doesn't make up for an otherwise less than remarkable CV.
McClaren's stock is probably too high for West Ham now. Unless he crashes and burns at Wolfsburg, but even then there'd be jobs at top clubs in Holland waiting for him.

Stick with Zola for now. He's kept you up, I don't think you can ask for more than that from this season.

You've got to be kidding me! Look at our squad and look at where we finished, we only stayed up because there was so much shit in the Premiership this season plus Pompey getting deducted points. Zola is incompetent and has been playing people out of position and dropping good players to the bench all season. He dosent seem to have been inspiring anyone much either, Gold has done more for team morale by opening his big mouth more than an owner should and thats kind of sad.

I think West Ham's problem is there's players there who aren't paticularly motivated (McCarthy, Mido, Boa Morte etc). I mentioned a while back that West Ham have a good spine to the team (Green, Upson, Parker, Cole, maybe Collison) but the other players are average, the likes of McCarthy, Spector, Behrami. They have a decent team but not enough, and as you mentioned, the only reason you stayed up was because there were 3 worse teams. Also Zola doesn't strike me as a terrific motivator.

Its very easy to be fooled by the quality of the squad you support.

As an outsider, it's very easy to see a very week West Ham team. I rate Green, Upson, and Parker as good mid table footballers.

But the rest are no where near as good as Portsmouth's squad.

Personally I dont rate Collison yet, he's a good prospect but is currently far from a good player. Boa Morte was getting good before his injury, McCarthy will be good again when he's fit.Mido is a waste of space. Behrami, was good but has been crap since coming back from injury, dunno how you can rate Spector as average, the guy is dire!

Which positions and players at Pompey do you rate, when playing their best as better than the mirror West Ham player, playing well?

You can get the Champions league badge on your shirt for the first time ever ;)

Seriously, well deserved win for Spurs tonight. They had the better chances and created more.

Barcelona winning 2-0 at Sevilla at the moment, Messi with his 45th goal of the season and Bojan with the second. Win this and they are effectively Champions, even if Real win.
