Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

There was something touched on that is interesting:

When you think corruption, most automatically think it's at the hands of the wealthy, seldom will you hear mention of people fleecing the welfare system blind.

I am all for a wealthy progressive society helping out the little guy, but I'm not okay with a capable person, able bodied, sitting on their asses for years drawing checks.

We are in the economic crisis right now because of excess and greed, let's face it, these Wall St. select society elites got so greedy, thye collapsed a system that has flourished non-stop at least as long as I've been alive.

They paid of analysts, made false reports on profit and growth, lied about liquidity of Fortune 500 companies to lure in investors and sent so much cash overseas to avoid paying taxes I wouldn't be amazed if we could start an entire government when the money gets seized, and believe me Obama has already sent the message out about overseas banks.

Bottom line is we have gotten too far removed from our immigrant roots, a large percentage of poeple have forgotten what it's like to actually work for a living.

Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

You're right, not many people think about the welfare fraud that goes on. That needs to be corrected as well.
But have you ever looked at the hard numbers when it comes to that? I can tell you that it's a lot less than people make it out to be. Typically when you get into any sort of conversation about welfare, the general consensus is that the vast majority are African Americans just sitting on their ass. When in actuality more white people get welfare and the majority of welfare recipients are on the up and up. :dunno

Like I said, it needs to be corrected, fraud is fraud. But it's like worrying about the servers stealing from the tip jar when the CEO is driving the company into bankruptcy. Both are wrong, but that tip jar won't break the company.

Yeah you and I agree on this point as well....I have no real sense of what ethnic group is worse, it's just a kink in the system that needs to be fixed.

What I think is tragically funny, is all the Wall St. heavy hitters crying becuase Madhoff stole their money, I always heard the one way to piss of thieves is to steal from them:p

What's really sad about it, is the Federal judge refuses to keep his ass locked up. Bottom line is he stole money, ruined lives and is convinces that his financial power will keep him free, and tragically he's probably right.

To me he's no better than a common thug. But I cannot deny the sense of gratification I get when a billionaire gets robbed blind:D

Rat Fucks.....More bailout money being spent:

$500,000 on a dog park in California
$??????? on a Frisbee golf course
$35,000 to put automatic flushing toilets in some building in South Carolina

Now.....How is this supposed to boost the economy?

Oh and on transparency.....Anyone see Obamas press Sec. do that question and answer yesterday afternoon?

30 minutes of no answers

Oh...

9 out of 10 of the top echelon banking executives, thought to have cause some of the massive disruptions in the market, still have their jobs, all of the top executives belonging to banks that filed bankruptcy, still have their jobs.

See what happens when D.C. gets involved in commerce?

Citigroup....Decides to proceed with the purchase of a 12 seat, 55 million dollar jet.........

Cause............A bank that was on the verge of folding.....Can't have executives finding deals on Expedia.com for airline travel....It would be uncivilized.

Where's the fucking torch and pitchforks people? Where's the anger...The outrage....The patriotism that made this country what it is?

I changed the title of this thread....To stop any further similarities to Sean Hannity...I get sick of being called a follower of that asshole too.

Who knows....Maybe he thinks he can appeal to them....I guess that past 2,000 years hasn't spoken for itself:D

I'm sure he can appeal to the majority of the nearly 2 BILLION Muslims. You need to remember that the majority of Muslims are not our enemies, and openly stating that we are not theirs will go a long way to bridging that divide we now have. I think it was a great first step by this administration.

Here's where I'm heading....I am not an "administration apologist", the muslims that are not our enemies know it because they are to this point still alive. The message we need to get across is this "change your fucking attitude......remember the Japanese?":D

I am not saying what he did was a bad thing, in fact I gave him credit on one of my posts, the one you quoted I was just being an ass.
