Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

It would appear that the Liberals are pissed, citing that Obama has selected nothing but centrists and right wingers for his cabinet :24:

It would appear they do not think he's "liberal" enough :24: :24: OHHH MAKE IT STOP :24:

Liberals voice concerns about Obama - Yahoo! News

Don't lump all liberals together. I'm happy with the direction he's taking the Presidency. After all there is only one way to go when the office has scrapped bottom for the last two terms. ;)

If McCain was in there making cabinet picks, no doubt there would be a group of "conservatives" having a cow too.

True, but it's always more fun to complain about the extremists. ;)

So how long are you going to be bad losers before you consider putting a good political republican policy forward?;):thumbup

when was there a good republican policy that was followed up on.

the Contract with America was a winner. Too bad they got drunk with the power that gave them an never kept the movement.

but history is such that the liberals will fuck it up.

and then the reps will do the same.

and so on, and so on

Republican policy at its core has always been excellent, it's just never followed through in the way we'd like to see when a Republican finally makes it into office.

the reps have been abysmal

they are pseudo conservatives

they had a 6 month run where they accomplished some good when they too control of the house after Clintons 2nd year. after that they got drunk with power and were no better than the dems

The problems with the Republican party, honestly is the two faced hypocrites, the bible thumpers in congress and senate flying to indonesia to get ittie bittie tittie.

Our party needs to clean house, they have lost credibility;)

The Republican party has lost it's way. I know, I used to vote for them. Not to say they can't find their way back.

1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.

2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.

Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

26. How many people have to be shot up in a public place by an automatic assault weapon (controlled by a human being) before you start asking how and why they had the assault weapon?

PS- I'm only for hand/assault weapon gun control that really works, however, you guys must admit that this country alone has the magnitude of gun related crime that it does. Why exactly is that?

I'd be curious to see a comparison of gun-related crime in countries that do not allow citizens to have guns compared to the US.

And last I checked, fully automatic weapons were illegal, so what's your point by #26? Just further enforcing the gun control we already have in place? Because I completely agree with you there...

I have to say that presidents are always woefully undercompensated for some reason... but maybe that's just so people don't try to go for the job for the money.
