Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

I get ya.

Obama is only a symptom of a break down. I get ya! :thumbup

Right and that doesn't exactly mean I have anything against him....Yet, I mean he was voted in by a landslide, McCain didn't even come close to the electoral votes he needed.

So I give credit where credit is due, and he's my commander in chief and I will respect that.

But the ideology, I will never side with, no matter how long I live.

It's not me against the man Obama at all, the guy is brilliant, not arguing that. It's simply the left agenda.

No matter what his name was, male, female, white black blind crippled or crazy, I would still oppose that mindset

Hey my wish a long time ago was a black candidate, honestly I think it is long overdue, the same with a woman.

But the agendas have to change, for both parties. The agenda needs to be, to benefit the AMERICAN people as a whole, rich, poor, black white, old and young.

That is the agenda I am creating:D

Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

There you go--put a cap on prices when they get too high--we should do that on oil too.

I could go through why capping prices doesn't work--they tried that in the old soviet union--how did that work out???

I'm not saying that you can't reform--I am simply stating that the costs are still going to be astronomical--does it really matter if the bill is $500,000 or $650,000?

What the fuck does that have to do with reform? Seriously?

And now give us your solution to that? We "cap" the price that can be charged for services? How does that work? After $500,000 in medical costs, all the healthcare providers work for free? Or the government starts paying after a certain amount? SOMEONE STILL HAS TO PROVIDE THE CARE--SOMEONE STILL HAS TO PAY.

There are ways to reduce those costs--but I can fucking assure you its not going to come from government regulation or some magical universal healthcare program adminsitered and run by the ever efficient federal government. This is not a thread for debating how to reform healthcare--I was simply pointint out that all you are doing is complaining about a problem that can't be fixed by regulation or price-capping and that people need to understand that unless the healthcare workers are willing to work for free, the cost of providing care to terminally ill or very sick people is ALWAYS going to be astronomical. Its not different in law--companies pay millions of dollars in legal fees because some cases take thousands of hours of work. You can't waive the magic liberal wand of goverment intervention and change any of that.

It matters when your lifetime cap is a million dollars. What's your lifetime cap?

It has everything to do with reform. We are a greedy, bloated, over charged, over taxed nation.

What I'm saying, Mulder is that the cost of healthcare is NOT comparable to what people earn! Take the cap off of insurance or lower the fricking prices so that someone who is ill won't have the worry of reaching their cap, and subsequently receiving less than excellent care afterwards because of it.

It's not like my brother (for example) is sucking funds from the Medicaid or Medicare taxpayers wallet. He pays his own insurance premiums. He's worked his ass off all of his life just like the rest of us.

And, it may not be a thread about healthcare reform, but it was brought up by the thread starter way back on page 3, I believe. So what's your beef? You'd rather me post silly cartoons than try to have an intelligent conversation?

I think you have an issue with it because your daughter wants to be a Doctor. You want to see her become wealthy, after you've paid for her schooling. If her schooling were free, would you feel the same way you do now about the cost of healthcare?

I hope you never get sick. Really.

Now go pick on Leather N Lace.

dt3 and I talked last night, well I talked he listened:D

He and I agree that you can have your core values, religion, marriage, guns etc, but that is only the root.

It's okay to want that, to believe in that. But you cannot govern that, it shouldn't be a debate it's protected by the greatest document ever written, The Constitution.

So the fact that that is even a discussion in politics is troublesome. The protected items, right to freedom of religion, bearing arms, peacefully assemble etc. that's a given.

What we need the government to do is fix problems, healthcare, spending, protect us from our enemies and keep the economy rolling.

We'll do the rest thank you very much:D

Hell I think Senate and Congress should be part time jobs if you ask me
