Doesn't piss me off so much as it dismays me at the gullibility of millions of Americans. Makes us appear as a nation of easily manipulated idiots on a global scale.

That includes the actions of both parties, John
What pisses me the most is that the public polarizes so easily and ignores the corruption in/of their respective parties.
I will obviously agree that Bush gave the Republican image a lead in that direction.
But the middle class is being gamed on the current promises from the left, also.
As absolutes......Trickle down is just as flawed as taxing for prosperity.

It's not about taxing for prosperity - it's about requiring the wealthy to sacrifice alongside the rest of us. The Republicans fight even the suggestion that the rich sacrifice in the least. "Supply Side" economics is a fallacy designed to allow the upper classes to hoard money and power. All economies are naturally "Demand Side" which will thrive with a broad, vibrant well compensated middle class fueling it.

This is something I can't get my head around. The last Republican government added trillions to the national debt. The Obama administration is showing signs of stopping the runaway train that Bush and his co-accused created, and yet all it takes is for Romney to put a little spin on it and people are prepared to vote for the exact opposite of what they say they want?

That bastard.
The current bastard is worse and is spending more that the previous bastard.
However the current bastard said he was going to cut spending and take care of the debt.
The previous bastard never claimed he would do such a thing.
The current bastard is more of a bastard than the prior bastard.....as he is a bush and more.
Any one who downs bush spending and praises Obama should really think before they speak.

You're usually a little more credible than that, but I can understand the bitterness on your part.
No you can't, because you're as fogged by partisanship as most of my fellow citizens are. As such, you're clueless. But as an outsider, it's little more than watching sport for you, so I choose not to waste time with you on the subject.

Apparently you aren't keeping up on what the middle class is expecting in increased taxes.
The elimination of many deductions that the middle class has been enjoying will affect millions..
Capital gains and dividend tax rates are almost doubling....and I'm addressing that at at middle class level.
Mostly ignore is the estate tax rate which will impact many of the middle class that pass on small businesses, especially in farming.
Obamacare squeaked through constitutionality as being a taxable issue and uniform coverage ads to the taxpayers load.

Ignoring the upper class for a moment......those that benefit the most.. have the least to start with, while those that have.... are pushed towards the ranks of those that have the least.
John....this is classic socialism.
Even in absolute socialism, the elite persist.

"Supply Side" economics is a fallacy designed to allow the upper classes to hoard money and power.
Do you see me arguing that point?

John.....we are watching a society fail as politicians essentially offer the road maps to failure......both parties.

Of interest SS is now officially paying out more than receiving.....and approximately 40% of retirees depend wholly upon SS.
Currently, no matter which party is chosen.......there is a climax of financial failure in the works.....face it.....corruption has brought us to this point and dogma isn't a solution.

I gotta go now......birthday party for a relative......I'll be back :D

Your patronising nonsense doesn't cut it with me. If you would rather run like a coward, go ahead.

I've been round and round with accountable on politics. Always ends the same with him bowing out. Know what's really funny? Accountable gets 100% of his income and health care from the government - 100% SOCIALISM. But...he earned his, and everybody else is a slacker. That's American conservative logic - get yours and cut the rope so nobody else can climb up to your level.

Marvelous the number of people who take home our tax dollars and have no clue what we want in exchange.
Sounds like New Zealand has other issues besides a very high percentage of depression and burglary.
What do you want from your tax dollars?

KD.....what is your involvement with our politics and tax issues since you seem to be a resident of New Zealand?
Are you also a US citizen?

You've lost ,boy. Pulling the old redneck "You're not from round here, what would you know?" card simply highlight the fact that most Americans can't get their head around what happens overseas, and foolishly assume that the rest of us are as under educated as they are.

As it goes, I've been married to a Kansas Republican for the last 5 years. From the looks of it I know more about the US economy and US politics than you do. An intelligent man would realise that the internet will give you access to US current affairs information 24/7 anywhere in the world. Satellite TV means that we get to see all of the US media in real time. An intelligent man would realise this, and know when to shut up.

But I'm not dealing with an intelligent man right now, I'm dealing with you. So pull your head in, get it back on topic, and say something interesting.

My bad...you have been married to a Kansas woman for 5 years...you are an authority :24:

From the looks of it I know more about the US economy and US politics than you do.

I can see it now
"Honey hurry up and come home and tell me more about American politics."

An intelligent man would realise that the internet will give you access to US current affairs information 24/7 anywhere in the world

Yes....dont hear much about NZ..I have to agree.
The US does seem to always be in the light.

So what gained your interest in American politics?
Boredom?
Seriously....we have to live here so it means alot.
I could give less than a fuck about lets say Brazilian Politics .
I am curious why you have taken such an interest...and went as far as to marry a Kansas Republican.

But I'm not dealing with an intelligent man right now, I'm dealing with you. So pull your head in, get it back on topic, and say something interesting

Ok,
That bastard Obama outspending Bush...then being re elected.
If you want to question someones intelligence..you may want to question those who supported Obama.

Which reminds me...you seem to be in favor of such...Any reason why?...With the wife being a republican and you being an NZer it doesnt fit...why the interest and why Obama
Serious question
