I love how the tea party candidate in a neighboring district lost. At first everyone was like "she's a doctor, she's smart" she's great in Congress. By the time election time came along everyone was yapping about how she's batshit crazy.

Just as an exercise in semantics, I think it's wild how definitions get twisted in politics. Today it's tea party. Remember how 'swiftboat' meant 'ambush' do dems and 'exposing the truth' to repubs? English is a remarkably adaptive language, but politic-speech is absolute silly putty by comparison. :D

What truth was exposed during the swiftboat propaganda? It was all lies and I even participated in those lies because I was a conservobot back then and believed in the conservobot cause. I eventually couldn't live with the right wing lies any longer. Too bad most conservotards have zero issue with compromising their integrity for falsehood. So continues the multi-billion $$$$ right wing propaganda campaign to convince millions of Americans to vote against their own families best economic interests.

Doesn't that really position you as a person of little honor and fewer convictions?
So what's changed other than beating out Romney on flip flopping :eek.........( :p ).......( :D )

If I had no honor or convictions I'd still be a conservobot like you. ;)

What's changed? As far as conservobotism, not much.

So did anyone else hear how the Romney campaign cancelled all of the campaign credit cards the night of the election?
Staffers on their way home that night were surprised to find that their cards didn't work when paying for the taxi home. And those who went to pay their hotel bills in the morning were even more surprised when they had to foot the bill.

Thank God it was only the staffers who got to experience Mitt's "business experience" and not the rest of the nation.

What a fucking asshole Mitt is. Really no surprise though.

Since the title of this thread is "Obama wins again" Maybe you might be interested to know why the conservatives lost so badly.

This has been intensifying at least since the days of Reagan.
Neo-conservatism has essentially captured the conservative element of the Republican Party and moderates pushed out of the way.
What is seen in current Republican politics is typical Straussian philosophy. The 'new' conservative......elitism.... with truths withheld, falsehoods promoted for the supposed benefit of the masses.

But then, Democrats aren't much better today either.

Wow, completely illuminating and accurate. Him and McConnel are peas in a pod.

I just feel we need to pull the USA out of debt.

This is something I can't get my head around. The last Republican government added trillions to the national debt. The Obama administration is showing signs of stopping the runaway train that Bush and his co-accused created, and yet all it takes is for Romney to put a little spin on it and people are prepared to vote for the exact opposite of what they say they want?

It's mainly your FOX News viewers and right wing talk radio listeners who are so easily manipulated. Were it not for these types of entities, the Republican party would be relegated to a permanent minority, which is where they should be. They do not represent 98% of the country, yet millions are convinced to vote against their own families best economic interests by their multi-billion $$$ propaganda machine.

Maybe they had to cancel all of the cards because Romney bought over $25,000 in victory fireworks... :24:

I'm sure that he would have been smart enough to buy on sale or return. Any good business operation has an operational contingency plan in place to help them get through more than one scenario.

At least, I hope he was smart enough...:dunno
