UFC 131 is tomorrow night.... all I have to say is that I expect Carwin/dos Santos to last all of about a round. :24:

Well I sure as fuck didn't see a full three round fight coming.... dos Santos just beat the holy hell out of Carwin.

Yup... it's pretty much just Velasquez, dos Santos, Carwin, and Lesnar when he gets back from this bout of diverticulitis. On Spike they had a preliminary fight between these two fatass heavyweights... they would've been murdered by any of those four in like 20 seconds.

That picture says it all... I'm amazed that he made it through three rounds, since he looked like that with about a minute left in the first.

He's a tough guy but he was totally outclassed. He got such a late start in MMA as well, he's like 36 years old and is really still new to the sport, he's had 14 fights and only been out of the 1st round twice, at his age it's a little late for him to be trying to become some kind of cardio machine and develop well rounded skills, all Carwin really has going for him is his punching power, he's basically another Tank Abbott.

Carwin really doesn't have skills. I didn't figure that out till last night. Just heavy hands. Seriously, what is he good at? I think Cain beats JDS.

I saw a long time ago that Carwin had no skills, you need only watch his fight with Gabriel Gonzaga, he shows himself to have no striking defense whatsoever, and HIGHLY overrated wrestling when Gabe was able to take him down with ease, the very same flaws he showed last night against JDS, he has literally not improved as a fighter even the slightest bit since he fought Gabriel Gonzaga.

It's a tough fight to call, I'd pick Cain to grind on him for the first 3 rounds and then TKO in the 4th or 5th. I can't wait for Strikeforce on Saturday :D

I think if dos Santos can avoid being taken down, he'll have it in the 3rd round. TKO or KO.
Then FRANK MIR and dos Santos for the next heavy weight title!

I want Overeem to lose so bad and see the damage control by his fans but I don't think it happens. He should win ko/tko.

Overeem is a MONSTER, his only weakness is that glass jaw of his, it won't be a factor against Werdum but if he gets cracked by Sergei he'll be FINISHED.

I think if dos Santos can avoid being taken down, he'll have it in the 3rd round. TKO or KO.

Nobody has been able to stop Cain's takedowns thus far, it'll be interesting to see if JDS can do it. A Mir fan are we? I thought I was the only one.

and then Mir can win it, and promptly lose the title to Lesnar again :24:

Yeah.... I don't think so but thanks for playing :cool

I actually think what'll happen is Lesnar vs. Mir for a shot at the winner of Cain/dos Santos. Assuming that Lesnar is healthy by that point, otherwise Mir will probably just get the shot regardless. Regardless, I think there's a pretty good chance that we see Lesnar vs. Mir round three in the near future.

Yeah I think they want a go at each-other again, I never use to have respect for Lesnar but since the ultimate fighter I have found some for him but Mir is my #1 fighter because of his heart, coming back form a motorbike accent to be in the running again for the belt.
