DK...I am assuming you are talking about Lindland being sued for stealing marijuana plants. First of all, legal or not, when in a position as he is in, why would you let someone grow marijuana plants on your property. It could be possible that he is using the marijuana to help him cope with the depression of losing his last 6 fights?!?:sarcasm Either way...this is really sad to hear.

“I have no idea what this about. There seems to be a trend these days with folks filing frivolous lawsuits without merit. I think this is a CHRONIC problem. Times are tough financially for a lot of people and everyone seems to think these is some kind of POT OF GOLD at the end of the lawsuit rainbow.”
 
Zuffa has purchased Strikeforce

The Ultimate Fighting Championship's parent company now owns its closest competitor.

Zuffa has purchased Strikeforce, UFC President Dana White told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani. The news was made public on Saturday.

With the purchase, UFC now controls the contracts of almost every fighter in the USA TODAY/SB Nation consensus rankings, other than a few athletes in Bellator Fighting Championships and a handful of Japanese competitors at lighter weights.

Nothing changes for the brands in the near term, White said. Strikeforce has a deal to run several events this year on Showtime, a network that White has publicly disparaged often.

Dana White - "It's literally official right now. We just closed the deal. As we continue to grow and expand in more countries, one of the things is we need more fights. Strikeforce is a brand that fans have come to like. They do have a following, people enjoy the fights that they are putting on and it made sense to us."

Tough break for Chestnar, he says it's not as bad as last time and that he will fight again, but I dunno, I kinda think his fighting career might be over, I gotta say he would retire with the best 5-2 MMA record in history.
