Not just out of shape, he just fought like he had absolutely no desire to be in there, looked like he was fighting at 30-40%.

Yeah, I knew he had no shot once I saw him breathing hard out of his mouth about 90 seconds into the first.

I used to see something great in Hamill for some reason, I thought he was destined to be a top fighter but he's choked in all of the big fights.

Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal today reported that UFC has signed a deal with the Fox Network effective in 2012, ending the company's seven year association with Spike TV.

The deal would put most of the programming, including the Ultimate Fighter reality series on live fight cards on FX, a network with nearly double the average rating of Spike TV. The story said that the FOX network would also air up to four live events per year, the first time UFC would ever appear on a major network. Another Fox Network, Fuel, would also have UFC content.

This would also mean the end to UFC progamming on Versus as of the end of this year.

I've never seen Overeem fight? He must be doing something right if he's in a Number one contender match!

Overeem is the 2010 K-1 kickboxing Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion, and the former Strikeforce heavyweight champion, he's been around in MMA for a long time, though he's spent most of his career fighting in Japan and Europe, he's fought a lot of big names and he hasn't lost in MMA since 2007, there's a lot of hype on him coming into his UFC debut. That being said, I've followed his career for a long time, I've seen him gas, I've seen him quit, and I've seen him get knocked out by much smaller fighters, I think he's in for a rough time in the UFC.

Wow, brilliant explanation there :) so this is his UFC Debut, and they've booked him in against Lesnar? Tough ride!

It's not a lock for Lesnar though by any means, Overeem is an animal early on in the fight, and all those things I just said about Overeem I could also say about Lesnar, when Lesnar can impose his will he's a beast, but he is one of the worst I've ever seen at taking punches, if Overeem lands something hard on him early in the fight I fully expect to see Lesnar panic and fall apart like he did against Cain Valasquez, it's actually a very close fight, but I think Lesnar will be able to get the takedown early and wear Overeem out and get a stoppage.

They look and sound like very similar fighters, I've watched all of Lesnar's UFC fights and I agree that he cant take a punch for a big guy, and he tends to tire as the fight goes on. Velasquez was just a beast, they said he's one of the fittest fighters in MMA.

He is one of the fittest heavyweights for sure.

I don't know if you can really say that Brock can't take a punch... look at the beating he endured at the hands of Carwin, then he came out in the second and tapped Carwin out. I think his problem with Cain was that he expected Cain to punch himself out like Carwin did, and he didn't count on Cain being the freak of nature that he is.

That was pretty well summed up there :p
