Fully agree. Best I can see, the root cause of the problem is that the state of Florida has abandoned its responsibility to protect its citizens and is leaving it up to amateurs to try and keep the peace.

The argument in court should be interesting. Someone throws a punch at you, at what point are you allowed to kill him with your gun? The Stand Your Ground law gives vague, imprecise permission for the individual to use their judgment. It's so screwed up. Only idiots could of passed this law.

It's going to be extremely interesting. The gun law will be questioned, stand your ground, self defense, racism, social media...LOTS to be examined!

Certainly is. This whole crock of shit would never happen here. Our police force would discourage armed vigilantes.

There's been no new information for days, the only thing that changes is the wishful scenario-building of those who subconsciously or otherwise applaud Zimmerman for ridding the world of one more person who fits a criminal profile, and would rather not see the ill-considered laws surrounding this execution put to the test.

Being a volunteer watchman is full time...there is no clock to punch in and out of.
Being "off duty" doesnt mean you are not a watchman.
What ignorance Retro...I guess with your logic if he saw a kidnapping or other crime in progress while "off duty" he shouldnt report it.

Actually, most neighborhood watch patrols have set schedules. That being said, you're throwing out straw men once more... he didn't see any crime in progress, and yet he reported it anyway. Not only did he report it, but he chose to take the law into his own hands, follow the innocent kid around, and then eventually killed him.

So wait... Zimmerman is equal to a physician now? Wait, they're supposed to do no harm and Zimmerman gunned down an innocent kid. The problem is that he took it a step further than he should have... he reported it, that's fine... good job. But he chose to stalk the kid, which led to the fatal confrontation.

Actually yes, I am "breeding"; I have an amazing 5 year old son that can put together more coherent and logical arguments than you seem to be capable of.
