Inmates: Rights or Privileges

To be honest. You're not going to like my opinion. I honestly don't a shit about how the people in jail/prison are treated. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. All this extra shit they're supposably getting is bunk. I say give em confinement. As long as they're not being treated with brutality then I say to hell with em. The less shit they have the better. Certain rules may differ on the severity of the crime but they're all criminals. Last time I knew atleast in this country you had to break a law to be put in jail or prison. Know your role.

So why don't you move to Iran or somewhere where they agree with your opinion on human rights? I'm sure you'd find it a lovely place to live. They would also disagree that you have any right to claim benefits and you would be forced to either work or starve!

Having a prisioner die from pnuemonia and dying from it after not being treated for it while in prison is a brutality, and torture.

They might have done the crime .. but it is not right to take their life or torture them like animals (hell worse than animals) while they are serving their sentance.

Oh, I'm not denying that they shouldn't be dealt with accordingly, I just think that REAL THREATS like serial killers, rapists, gang bangers and so on are the ones who should be put away for a good while and be kept away from the public. White collar crime needs to be dealt with swiftly and justly. I just don't think putting them away and crowding our prisons up with non-violent people is worth our time. Make them work for their punishment somewhere, perhaps at a blue collar factory or something where all of their paycheck goes to some sort of charity, that would be pretty hilarious. Well, after they serve time in some sort of punishment facility and relay every cent they stole.

Fair enough.

With that attitude.. I hope you are sentenced to prison for an accidental crime, and they treat you just like you want prisoners to be treated..

A lot of people can talk the talk, but not many can walk the walk..

Accidental crime? What the fuck is that? Parking on a hill? Going to slow on the interstate? How can you commit a crime accidentally?

that is brutality.

Thats bogus jargon IMO... If you weren't involved in the events leading up and causing that persons death then he wouldn't be dead. No matter if you mean't to kill him or not... killing is killing.
You do know that if you are driving and happen to fall asleep, run across the median, and hit a car head on .. killing the people inside .. it's a form of manslaughter?

Take into account also, if you've had 1 beer (well under the legal limit) and do the same thing .. it's also manslaughter.

An accident is something you did not willfully take part in or intend to cause, but were invovled in none the less.
