Actually I explained atheism as being an ideological component but you see Ol Pete doesn't seem sharp enough to grasp that kind of concept.
Not true. It's possible to compare the behavior of atheists to theists. And the truth (something you claim to value) is atheists do not commit more crimes or behave worse than theists. The idea that they do is simply prejudice. The burden of proof is not on me. It is on the one who claims atheists are less moral than theists. Now if I claimed theists are less moral than atheists (I don't) then I would need to proven that or be seen as prejudice.

Please reread his post. He is clearly saying that if you want to make that claim, then YOU need to back it up with proof. That if he made such an assertion, then HE would be the one that should provide proof.

Again, you seem to believe that atheism is a belief system. It's not. Why is it so hard for you to grasp that concept.

That's not how you come across. How does calling atheists less moral than theists cause atheists to think about their beliefs? All it does is cause atheists to write you off as prejudice. If you can back up that claim then I am interested in seeing your data. Otherwise I see it as nothing but prejudice.
It is counter productive to make statements like atheists or theists are immoral. Focus on the belief not the person. For example, I think spanking children is immoral. This is not an attack on theists. Most American theists these days don't spank and some atheists do. However some Christians spank because they interpret the bible as telling them to do so. This is an example of smart good people doing something that is wrong because they are listening to wrong voice. It saddens me and that is what I fight, not theists.

It seems the many here have made this statement but don't want to show actual info without relying on an unreliable youtube video. That is what I am asking. Can you show where atheists and theists are morally equal? Or maybe you would like to continue shifting burden of proof. Whoever makes the claim "atheists are morally equal to theists" needs to prove thier claim.
Nah, not buying it. If atheists say they don't believe in God that is fine but there are atheists who do nothing but attack Christianity. If you claim that I hate atheists then I no more hate atheists that they hate Christians. So don't give me that prejudice crap. As GIA would say "reciprocity is fair play".

You are quick to point out that someone who says Christians are immoral is prejudiced. And I agree with you. Most Christians are moral. Just as most atheists are moral.
Did I say atheists are immoral? I am only interested in seeing where the idea atheists are morally equivalent to anyone. If it is true then it should be easily proven.
You are prejudiced against atheists to think it needs to be proven. Just as you would be prejudiced against blacks if you thought it needs to be proven that blacks are not morally inferior to whites. I have learned that it is pointless to try to change the mind of a prejudiced person. He must decide on his own to give up his hatred. The choice is yours. I can't make it for you.
