Based on your faith, correct? :D

Answer to the Poll: None of the Above.

Praise the Lord! Not directed at any one in particular- believe in what you will, just don't argue it as fact, and I'll be happy. BTW, this description is a first class condemnation of a superior being IMO. :)

Try explaining that to the uptight, self-delusional Christians. They claim EVERYTHING as a fact, but they don't realize they live their life as a lie. Bunch of fools.

I think most of the bible-bashers in this thread are simply bandwagoners of the 21st century. As for the Bible, its impossible to know if it is 100% true. I doubt the Torah, Quran, or Bible are all 100% accurate. They are too large, too long, and too prone to minor error. Regardless, whats important is in the text, and it doesnt matter if its true or not. Interpret the text as you will, draw your feelings and what you believe is to be true, and live by it. This is all assuming you accept the premise of having a Abrahamic father, and are intending on finding spirtual salvation. If not, there is still no need at all to laugh at other people who do.

To me, it is fact, so I'm not willing to state it any other way. Not trying to be rude or anything, but I believe it in THAT MUCH. And not trying to argue, just making a statement of what I believe is fact. ;)

Worshiping God. That is, after all, why God created us - to worship Him. :)

Like I said, I'm not going to try to belittle your beliefs or prove you wrong, I was just curious how you came to those conclusions. Thanks for sharing. :thumbup

Worhsip a God? That's like making a black person listen to the white man during the slave period. Bow down and get back to work! Do you actually have any evidence that God exists? If you're going to preach to me a boring speech about how God saved you and washed away your sins...I'm not going to listen to it. It's boring and it's been told countless times. It doesn't really count as proof.

I'm speaking the truth. People that believe in God only use the bible as their primary source for proof. It's really stupid. They could at least explain, if a miracle ever happened to them or something. Photographic evidence, ya know? This debate is extremely dull at the moment.

I'll grab you one story then, since you requested. Here's the perfect picture of a miracle in the modern world. This story is written by my mother regarding a recent purchase of property they made.

Source is here: Sand Dollar Cove: Yachats Beach House

The Sand Dollar Cove Story

The day before Mother's Day, 2006, my husband and I looked at this property and fell in love with it. The question was whether we could really afford it or not. My husband, the risk-taker, wanted to go for it. I was a little more reluctant, wondering if we really should commit to such a large project.
As a Christian believer, I often pray about situations or decisions that arise. So, as we were walking along the beach talking about the place, I started silently praying, "Lord, if this is the right thing to do, it would be great to have some kind of confirmation. If You could just help me find a whole seashell, that would confirm it for me." We walked a little farther and I thought, 'Well, that would be pretty easy to find a whole seashell.' So I prayed again, "Actually Lord, if you'd help me find a whole sand dollar; that would really confirm that we should get the place." We walked a bit further and I upped the ante. "You know, Lord, actually if you could have someone come up and give me a sand dollar, that would really confirm this."
Within two minutes, a lady came bounding up to me, held out her hand in front of my face and looked straight into my eyes. On her palm was a heaping pile of whole sand dollars. She pointed to the one on top and exclaimed, "Here, take the big one on top!"
When I could finally close my mouth, I replied, "Really?" and then took the 'big one on top'. I thanked her and she bounded off down the beach.
My husband was staring at me like I was totally overreacting to this gift of a sand dollar. I just smiled at him in amazement and said, "Dan, you have no idea what just happened!"

Can't you read? I wanted photographic evidence of a miracle happening to somebody, not a story. That's like me reading the bible...it makes me sick.

You never said anything about photographic evidence. And you're not going to find any.

If we had photographic evidence that God existed, then faith wouldn't be needed, would it?

Anyway, I'm not going to argue with you, because it's not going to go anywhere for either of us. Please keep the derrogatory comments out of this though. I've kept myself reasonable in my postings, and I expect that others would do the same.

You're an idiot. Here's my quote I stated above:

"I'm speaking the truth. People that believe in God only use the bible as their primary source for proof. It's really stupid. They could at least explain, if a miracle ever happened to them or something. Photographic evidence, ya know? This debate is extremely dull at the moment."

Having faith in the supernatural is pointless. You guys just use your imaginations to believe in a God...it's like an illusion in your mind. I don't have to respect your beliefs, if I feel they are dumb.

WOW, i am kinda shocked that Sloth hasn't receive a warning yet for not only being ignorant, and bashing other people's faith, but he also is using a racist word. The admin needs to either give him a warning, or hit that ban button.

Wow, I really have to sit back and laugh at how ignorantly people accept anything the bible says as a fact.

How do you know it wasn't written by some person AGES ago who was bored.

And wanna know something else? The bible's words have changed SOOOOO much from what they originally were. Over YEARS AND YEARS of passing down and different interpretation.

And also, I find it HILARIOUS how people celebrate when something they pray for happens. What about the 99% of the time when it DOESN'T Happen? A person actually decided to pray to Elvis Presley instead of God, and his prayers came true the exact amount of times.

I also want to ask, does this work the same with other gods?

The other day I prayed to Zeus that I wouldn't miss my bus, I got there on time, YAY THANKS ZEUS!

But I prayed to Zeus that I would get the last slice of pizza at my friends party, and someone else got it.

I guess me getting the last slice of pizza wasn't part of Zues's plan for the vast cosmos.

If you don't believe in the Bible, that is fine, but do not mock us for our beliefs please.
