I agree with Donnie....no im not a overly religious person, but i believe in a higher deity.....your arguing the side of a "dare a say the word" controversial holy book....and its controversial due to its lack of truth....it is full of contradictions.

I say we all sin...whether it be willingly or not...dont tell me that you never lie in bed with your wife and dont commit adultery by dreaming of sex with another women....thats not your fault right??

I'm arguing hypothetically, since I don't believe in the bible. Of course I believe in free will, because I don't believe in some almighty being in the sky.




I don't think the tense of the verb matters. It says all have sinned. Therefore, for one person to lead a sinless life would cast the entire bible into doubt.

Of course the tense matters. One can't doom future generations by stating a fact of history.

It's why i think it's such a good book. Taken into context, it's an excellent study of humans and our qualities. But I'm just lookin' at it as a literary product.
