God says everyone is a sinner, so everyone is subject to His judgement. It's not a "You must follow these rules or you'll go to hell", because we've all already broken them. The only thing that must be done to avoid hell is to believe in Jesus.

I've personally seen God answer prayers so many times. Look back to page 4 or 5 in this thread to see one example, and I can certainly provide more if you want.

Well, you could look at it this way. People can choose to murder, but they will face the justice system, and go to jail or be put to death. In the same way, people can sin, but they will face God's justice system, and go to hell if they are not fogiven.

So you are free to choose what you want to do, but then you will reap the benefits or consequences of your actions.

No, I do not believe those crusades were fair or condoned by God.

And you're right - God is a jealous God. He doesn't want any of us to worship anything other than Him. I'm sorry that that concept troubles you, but if God just said, "Hey, go do whatever the heck you want, and you'll still get into heaven," I don't think it'd work too well.

God created us to worship Him, and when we do not do that, we are not following what He created us to do. If that is the case, why would we deserve to go to heaven anyway? Just because we are people?
