It's not so much that you disagree, because let me assure you, in my 44 years on Gods green earth I've learned to accept other views, no it's more to do with those little digs you manage to throw into your posts thats become my issue with you.
Im guilty of using the word ignorance, yes, but at least I come out and say it......your continuous condesending 'fantasy' remarks speak for themselves, so contrary to what you'd like to believe, you don't fool anybody.

Well if I'm trying to fool people, what is my real agenda here? You called me ignorant and in return I used the word 'fantasy' on you because based on your standards it it a totally appropriate word to use. That is my opinion.

Since you mentioned it, please illustrate all of my little digs. Since this thread seems to be the one today that got you hot under the collar, let's use it as an example. Please dig them all up and post them here. Make sure they have the original thread identifiers so it is easy to confirm it's something I said. And they'd better not be out of context. ;)

Seriously I think you need to relax and back away from talk of religion with anyone who might disagree with you. And no, I'm not mad. I'm sorry you are.

The derailing started back at post 46 I think......??? But it stands to reason that you not notice it until now....lol

I mentioned it now. That's not when I noticed it. And I'm not the one who started a religious debate in this thread. :smiley24:

lol...I'm mad? See, thats whats so difficult about debating online as opposed to in person.....things can get so distorted. I suppose you think that while Im typing, my fists are going and my face is all red and stuff? Nope....not the case at all, as a matter of fact, I enjoy the world of debating SO much, I may have been smiling during the whole conversation....forgive me for not including one of those little smiley faces....lol...:)

Actually that is exactly what I imagined. Your words do carry more weight then apparently what you imagine they do. But it's a two way street. Maybe that is why my words got you going. Let me reassure you that my only agenda here is to express my opinions and I really do try to avoid hurting people's feelings. But debate is debate. People will feel like their toes have been stepped on. ;)

I wouldn't say it happens overnight.
It happens from life experiences. Some crap happened and I stopped believing in god and became agnostic, then more recently, atheist.

You'll find your way. Not implying your lost! ;) There could be a spiritual network that provides comfort on a subliminal level, there could be life after physical death. I'm hopeful regarding the possibility of a spiritual existence, but the traditional view of God is too holey imo to put much, if any faith in it. His rules, his expectations, his punishments, etc, etc, etc. Every substantive document we have on God is from thousands of years ago whose source is very questionable. If you want to go with faith, it all sounds great. If you want to use your brain, it's way too complicated to put your finger on anything in particular.

But you know He exists right? I mean, you said it yourself, you once believed in Him. You believe that He exists it's just that, because of life experiences, you chose to turn your back on Him.....because you think He turned His back on you....I mean, either that or you make it a habit to believe basically what people tell you to believe or what you should believe.

It's usually the opposite. I used to believe because I did not know better, I believed and trusted the teachings of people who are older than me and supposedly knew better than I did and being in Catholic school helped in the brainwashing and all.
But if one decides to think for themselves, they'd realize that the desert god is but a mirage.
