Well I'm sure it's possible, but if that is indeed the case, why is it most scientific breakthrough and study is spearheaded by PhDs, not inventors?

Ed, you will recall most of the inventors didn't go to any university yet they were better than most Ph.D's of today!

You have reduced proof to fantasy or 'whatever' to suit your religious needs, demeaning the definition of proof in the process, and you categorize those whose who seek traditional forms of proof as ignorant. I don't think God would be pleased. You are really sounding like one of those intolerant close minded theists. Before you protest, that is exactly what close minded theists do when confronted with someone who does not see eye to eye with them regarding the supreme being, they call them ignorant. Maybe you'd like to add a "you'll burn in hell" too.

So in regard to identifying God, did my "I'd know" answer meet your standards? Or were you trying to make some other judgment? :smiley24:

This thread has really derailed. I'd like to get back to talking about the mechanics of disagreement, and how to deal with it, not debate specific issues.

Maybe the moderator can move all the responses after whoever the guilty party was that brought up religion, create a new Thread called Difference of Opinion: Religion and move that over to the religion forum.

It's not so much that you disagree, because let me assure you, in my 44 years on Gods green earth I've learned to accept other views, no it's more to do with those little digs you manage to throw into your posts thats become my issue with you.
