So by your logic a straight person isn't straight unless they have "straight" sex?lol ok .. well unless you're talking about the gay = happy .. i will always believe you are wrong.

There's no "option". You're born the way you are born.I think straight is the "default" sexual option .. since that is how we are all created in the first place.
And those men will probably have the same statistical chance as a straight person of getting AIDS.Not all gay men have anal intercourse..
See response to Pudding above.lol. Being gay has to do with being attracted to men or women if you're a woman.. You can be gay all your life and not have gay sex.
Well I certainly don't think the feelings are dangerous. When I use the word "lifestyle" in this particular instance, you are correct in that I'm refering to an active sexual life. To me it's common sense that working and dating and getting to know different people and having different experiances is not inherently dangerous. So much so is it common sense to me that I didn't pause to consider that you may think I'm so over the edge that I wouldn't see any other way.
Hopefully this will clear things up a little. When I talk about the "gay lifestyle," the only thing I'm refering to is the sexual side. The non-sexual part of the 'lifestyle' is no different than their straight counterparts.
Better?
I was responding to SRC when she said you can't be gay unless you have gay sex, which is laughably ridiculous.
Oh scott you tickle my heart with your feather of inquiry! You could say the same thing for your argument that gays don't have a higher risk of AIDS than straights do. :smiley24:
In the context of the global AIDS epidemic, sex between men is significant because it involves anal sex – a practice that, when no protection is used, carries a higher risk of HIV transmission than unprotected vaginal sex. Historically, AIDS was first discovered among self-identified young gay men in the USA, and throughout the course of the global epidemic, consistently high levels of HIV infection have been found among MSM in many countries.
And those men will probably have the same statistical chance as a straight person of getting AIDS.
Every person who is sexually active has the same chance of getting AIDS..
You couldn't be more wrong. I've shown you the facts from the CDC. I'm sure you could go to the WHO and find the same info if you like.
Other than that, all I can do is wish you a good night.
And like I said, not all gay men have anal sex. So your stats don't mean shit.
All they show is that there is a high percentage in the gay population.. and do they even know the entire gay population? no.
And like I said, not all gay men have anal sex. So your stats don't mean shit.
Those stats he posted are from the CDC. They are not making those up as a conspiracy to slander homosexuals.God, I can't believe the amount of crap and misconceptions in this thread I'm reading! Scot, why are you so hung up on proving that gay sex is more dangerous? What do you want them to do? Say "Oh yes! Being straight is much safer, I'll stop fancying my own sex?"
From those stats GLing posted there's a high rate of AIDs in Africa too. AID's is more prevelant in different places. So what do you want Africans to do? Stop having sex as well?
You can only get AIDs from a gay person! FACT! Maybe there is and maybe there isn't more people with AIDs who are gay, it dosen't mean being gay is more dangerous! The only think which effects how dangerous or not it is is the precausions you take, both straight and gay people! So you reckon there are lots of gay people with AIDs running around having casual sex with multiple partners without telling them about it? Well hello! What the fuck are you doing having unprotected sex with a male slut anyway? This works exactly the same way as it does straight people!
Oh and what a load of bullshit about you can't be gay unless you've had gay sex and the only gay sex you can have is anal! Hello! Never heard of oral or something?
Anyway, what has this got to do with the topic? Are you trying to say people with AIDs are crap parents now?
*Walks of shaking head in disbelief at this thread!*
No, he's quite right. Everyone has the CHANCE of getting AIDs, no matter who you are. Some people just might be in a higher risk category, like African Americans. You couldn't be more wrong. I've shown you the facts from the CDC. I'm sure you could go to the WHO and find the same info if you like.
Other than that, all I can do is wish you a good night.
