I meant Lenope not Navajo. And yeah, Miniut worked for the Dutch, that's not really important though, the important thing is that Native Americans have been conned out of their land. Just like Russia was conned out of Alaska.
Of course Native Americans have been conned out of their land. They have been ever since Europeans decided to go "explore" This happened pretty much everywhere Europeans decided to colonize and exploit.
So if you want to single out what the United States did in it's 200+ years of existence then you should at least get your facts strait as well as acknowledge the 300+ years prior to the US of what the nations of Europe did around the world.

The United States were the ultimate benifacters, and i single them out because it is they that stole from Russia. If it seems like i'm ignoring other countries that have done the same thing, it's because i purposefully am. What England did 300 years ago really doesn't relate to the story.

 We were just as big a bastards. Our first colonies wouldn't have survived if the natives hadn't helped us out and as you're an intelligent guy, I really dont need to tell you what we did to them in return

Yet you brought up Manhattan being sold to the Americans more than a century before there was an America.
As for Russia and Alaska, were the Russians a bunch of clueless natives that didn't know what the Europeans were up to or did they know what they were doing and decided to offload Alaska for a quick buck thinking it was worthless?

I think the biggest problem then was that Russia was a monarchy whose Zhar didn't give a shit about the people who were starving, just wanted to line his overflowing pockets eevn more for a quick bit of money. I would say he was far more clueless that the Communists afterthe revolution. You might hatethe reds but you have to give them that, doubt they would have sold Alaska, the'd probably have seen it as an extention of Siberia where they could work to death people they didn't like.;)

You are probably right about all of that.

Seeing how this is already incredably off topic.....

That's not true. Ron Paul is pretty much an anti semite, his policies certainly suggest that (cutting off aid to Israel etc), and i was pretty vocal in my disgust for him. So much so that some of my writings were published on his website. I put in a lot of time and effort to expose him as a "racist", and he actually is one, unlike me.

What is racist about cutting off support to Israel? I think it would be a good idea, well, at least reducing the aid that goes there for many reasons that are way to many to list....

The fact you are calling Paul an anti-semite shows how little you know about Israel, and politics and history surrounding it.

The more I learn about her the more I like her.

She is very conservative and doesn't despise America.

As compared to the typical VP choice who hates America...

Her dirty laundry, as in that investigation, is a joke compared to Obama and who he associates himself with.

Unless they discover she misused her position as Governor. As I said before I don't think anything will come of this. I'm not aware of any Obama investigations, do enlighten us. Oh, I see, as a standard, you'd pick the Republican under investigation before you'd pick the squeaky clean Democrat. :D

She actually believes in the constitution.

In contrast to the Bush Administration. :)

As for experience, she has been an elected official years before Obama ran for the Illinois senate.

You mean mayor of a town of 5000? So much for the Republican cry of inexperience, which I put no credence on that argument anyway.

Blinders my dear? :D

That would be Biden.

His associations with Islamic Terrorists and Communists (which he has disavowed since he became a canddiate!

This is one of the most shameful statements I've seen posted in this forum, really. You guys really do believe the end justifies the means and will say anything to get your way.

All she has to do is wear something slinky and no one will give a shit what Biden says!!! :24:
there is something about her

she can look rather striking at times.

Nothing to do with looks but I bet her debate with Biden gets the highest ratings.

If she can make it a draw I bet Obama will be toast.

That debate will be the 2nd of the 4

It could render the rest immaterial as I doubt either McCain or Obama will hit home runs.

It is actually going to be humorous to see her debate Biden.

Biden has a lot of skeletons in the closet--there are lots of tapes of him making disaparaing remarks about Obama (since he was a Hillary supporter). You give Biden far too much credit--he's just a loud mouth with a lot of rhetoric and no substance (like most Democats). If people thought things through rather than fall for the emotional rhetoric, he'd have nothing to say.

You talk as if the Republicans are Teh Holey Peoples that are do noe wrongs (misspellings and grammar mistakes are intentional for those that cannot detect sarcasm). The Reps are just as bad as the Dems in every category.

Nope--not even close. Not saying Republicans are innocent by any means, but the big difference is Democrats support socialism/communism, Republicans support capitalism--the latter IMO is the only economic system that works. Smaller government trumps every other issue and while I'll admit that Bush did nothing to shrink the government, the typical Republican philosophy is less government and less regulation. Reagan revolutionized the economy with his historic tax cuts and economic policies.

Seriously--isn't the one thing we ALL AGREE ON is that more government is a bad thing. Do you really think that will EVER happen with Democrats? That's only going to happen with Libertarians or Republicans. At least the latter group recognizes there shortcomings. The Democrats thing more government and more regulation is the fucking answer to all our problems.
